- just cuz he's hating on the the movie Gravity not being super accurate? I think he's pretty rad otherwise.BrokenHD
- This guy needs to stop hating.
inhaler97 - well, he did end by saying he really liked the moviesine
- what are you talking about? he's the Director of the Hayden Planetarium...twooh
- and he's the host of the new Cosmos. He's doing as much for the public good as Carl Sagan is.twooh
- – twooh +1BrokenHD
- What? I trust his opinion.bainbridge
- he basically said you just couldn't see all the space stations with your eye that you did in the movie. but he liked the flick.doesnotexist
- the flick. plus he's awesome, so he's allowed to say whatever, really.doesnotexist

'Gravity' slammed by scientist
According to world-renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, the film is littered with inaccuracies in its depiction of space.
For example, Tyson wrote on Twitter, why was Bullock's hair, "in otherwise convincing" zero-gravity scenes, not floating "freely on her head"?
- deGrasse Tyson has both an ego and a sphincter large enough to accomodate Jupiter.detritus
- This guy is a total twat. Space people are fucking annoying.CygnusZero4
- hahah you guys.. your comments are awesomeRamanisky2
- Looks like he was joking to me. Though "slammed" will do.inteliboy
- But... He's right.ArmandoEstrada
- Well he's right.bainbridge

Since "Children of Men" showed the director's total misconception of what makes ideas worth watching and how to put those ideas on the screen - i'm not holding my breath for this one.
- you didn't like children of men? you may be the first person i've ever heard to say thatcolin_s
- fuck pr2. the grumpiest asshole on qbn. every comment of his is snarky.inteliboy
- those long uninterrupted shots and then "bam!" something happening, were killing me as if the director never saw films before.pr2
- before and didn't understand what that implies.pr2
- inteliboy, when it comes to going gaga over shitty pop culture then i'm rightfully grumpy.pr2
- I disagree, it was a great movie, and I hate most pop culture and Hollywood crap.ukit2
- Yeah pr2, I've noticed that as well, you being grumpy and negative .. Lighten up kidRamanisky2
- You, my friend, are barred from watching any film and having a opinion.ArmandoEstrada

still never seen this flick.. am i missing out?
i was in Taipei when it came out and by the time i came home, florida girls in bikinis took over my lust, so i never saw it..
do i need to see it, or did i miss my chance on it at the big screen/?
- i missed on the big screen as well. but still very impressed. headphones are crucial. yes, watch it!arne
- its ok. nothing special. if you like what her name in a bitch fit. then youd love ityurimon
- was there any tits? because tits in space is something that dreams are made of- floating and bouncing..e-pill
- well was there? because i don't need headphones for that!!e-pill
- she doesn't even have tits ;)monospaced
- <lol, she doesnt act either...yurimon
- demafleez0
- yup same hereRamanisky2
- nice homage to this http://www.fernbyfil…inteliboy
- Haha, I thought that bit was obvious, drawn out and cheesy. But loved the film.josimar
- Definitely an homage to Kubrick which I thought was very well done. Good for Cuarón.sea_sea
- CygnusZero40
There is a couple cheesy lines during a very perilous situation that seemed very out of place.
- SPOILERS >>>>CygnusZero4
- I thought it was ridiculous how emotionless Clooney was facing his own death,CygnusZero4
- And the story was predictable. I knew right from the start she would make it out alive.CygnusZero4
- Someone always lives in these isolation movies, so they are predictable.CygnusZero4
- Agreed. It could have been a masterpiece though had dumbed down one-liners / dialogueinteliboy
- I would say forget the daughter story line. THe movie is rivetting enough, there doesnt need to be more empathy towards bullock
inhaler97 - Bullock's character .inhaler97
- I read some critical reviews saying basically this stuff too.sarahfailin

Suitable for kids?
- There's one f-bomb and 90 minutes of pure intensityRamanisky2
- F-bomb fine. Rest OK for a 12 year old or toooo intense?BusterBoy
- Its fine go watch it.cannonball1978
- SpoilerRamanisky2
- Well they do show a few dead bodies one of which is pretty gruesomeRamanisky2
- Yes, very gruesome dead bodies. And intense suspense --- otherwise an amazing movie for a kids imagination.inteliboy
- It will teach them that space is dangerous. Go see it with them.cannonball1978

- Solaris was a great movie already.robotron3k
- I never saw the original, just the one shown here.monospaced

The movie was based on a book, but the author will get no credit (or money) because Warner Bros bought the company that bought the rights. The lawsuit has already been dismissed on the grounds that WB doesn't have to live up to the terms of contracts signed by New Line.

My girlfriend refused to watch this after seeing bits and pieces of it on the little screen on the seat next to her on a plane. So when I had the chance, I pulled this up on my big TV, turned up the volume, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't IMAX/3D, but it had great surround sound and plenty to enjoy on a "small" screen.
- sounds like you gots lots in common :)yurimon
- she had no interest in the film, you are such a derpmonospaced
- the beauty of a great relationship is having different opinions and being able to teach each otehrmonospaced
- im playin with you bud, I was referring to the pickyness of not wanting to see it on a small screenyurimon
- gotcha hahamonospaced
- I won't watch a movie like this on a tiny screen with bad sound, just refusemonospaced
- Living large!ORAZAL

Man, it's killing me that people are judging this movie on the basis of watching it anywhere but a 3D Imax theater. I saw it that way, and on HBO, and even if I'd never seen it in the theater, the TV format seemed very undramatic.
- so you're saying i missed my chance at IMAX which by you was the only version good enough.. oie-pill
- i guess its back to chicks in bikinis on the beach.. w00te-pill
- Well, it's just that the large format suited it better. The story is pretty basic, and the impressive part was that big format.mg33
- I agree. Has to be seen big!HAYZ1LLLA

Movie concept was good and unique. the part where they hopped from shuttle to Russian space station was bit not realistic alot of other factors you need to consider like speed of jump to speed of the station... especially unrealistic was the part where cloonie died. all of sudden there is gravity when she trying to hold on to Clooney and no gravity when she lets go...
over all sandra bollocks is too annoying to carry a film by herself...
You need a female danzel washington type of actress to pull that off in a solo film...
- i_monk0
It wasn't gravity that got Clooney killed, it was momentum.
- wouldnt the tension of the moment rapidly diffuse.. once there is a counter momentum in space?yurimon
- The bible says gravity is just the power Jesus' love, and it can waver at God's will. Derp.monospaced
- grow up lolyurimon
- you jesus freakyurimon
- There was too much give in the parachute cord to fully counter their momentum – Sandy B's character was also being yanked, nearly lost grip of the cord.i_monk
- pulled by their momentum and the cord nearly slipped off her.i_monk
- i_monk0
It was absolutely intense, but I didn't feel any emotional connection to either of the characters.
And why did the Chinese space station start descending into the atmosphere?

My Tweets hardly ever convey opinion. Mostly perspectives on the world. But if you must know, I enjoyed #Gravity very much.
