Just saw it IMAX 3D ... WOW!!

this is a companion short film revealing what happened on the other end of dr stone's space conversation.
- i_monk0
It was absolutely intense, but I didn't feel any emotional connection to either of the characters.
And why did the Chinese space station start descending into the atmosphere?
- Ramanisky20
- Good CG, is the CG you do not see. This is technically awesome.ApeRobot

There is a couple cheesy lines during a very perilous situation that seemed very out of place.
- SPOILERS >>>>CygnusZero4
- I thought it was ridiculous how emotionless Clooney was facing his own death,CygnusZero4
- And the story was predictable. I knew right from the start she would make it out alive.CygnusZero4
- Someone always lives in these isolation movies, so they are predictable.CygnusZero4
- Agreed. It could have been a masterpiece though had dumbed down one-liners / dialogueinteliboy
- I would say forget the daughter story line. THe movie is rivetting enough, there doesnt need to be more empathy towards bullock
inhaler97 - Bullock's character .inhaler97
- I read some critical reviews saying basically this stuff too.sarahfailin

- Well they do show a few dead bodies one of which is pretty gruesomeRamanisky2
- Yes, very gruesome dead bodies. And intense suspense --- otherwise an amazing movie for a kids imagination.inteliboy
- It will teach them that space is dangerous. Go see it with them.cannonball1978

My girlfriend refused to watch this after seeing bits and pieces of it on the little screen on the seat next to her on a plane. So when I had the chance, I pulled this up on my big TV, turned up the volume, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't IMAX/3D, but it had great surround sound and plenty to enjoy on a "small" screen.
- sounds like you gots lots in common :)yurimon
- she had no interest in the film, you are such a derpmonospaced
- the beauty of a great relationship is having different opinions and being able to teach each otehrmonospaced
- im playin with you bud, I was referring to the pickyness of not wanting to see it on a small screenyurimon
- gotcha hahamonospaced
- I won't watch a movie like this on a tiny screen with bad sound, just refusemonospaced

Just seen it IMAX 3D. Unbelievable. Like others here I'm sure I stopped breathing at some points. The birth/life symbolism was a bit obvious and there's some clumsy dialogue but as pure cinema entertainment I can't remember better. Sandra Bullock looks pretty good in her undercrackers at 49 as well...
- she's 49? christcolin_s
- I thought she was older. I thought she was in her mid 30s at least when Speed came out.CygnusZero4

Wow. Seriously. Just got home from seeing it. I've never had a movie move me like that before. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen on screen. Saw the Imax 3D and I can't imagine watching this in any lesser format. So many times I felt like I had not taken a breath for like 10 minutes. Almost felt like I was gonna have a mild panic attack at a few parts, it was just so intense.
- moldero0
All those shots were crazy good, + this morning on CNN they said the helmet/visors were added in post all that breath on the visor shit was fucking tits
- inteliboy0
Probably one of those films that will return to Imax ever few years, like Avatar.
- fadein110
Was amazed how busy it was out there - felt like rush hour at times with russian module this and space station that. And all so close together, do they all hang out close by in case of emergencies? I would be surprised if they do. And no UFOs in it at all - all spacepeople see UFOs, fact.
- east/west orbits hang out by the equator usually, and satellites operate at the same altitude for various reasons,cannonball1978
- one is to keep repair costs down for fueling and docking etc.cannonball1978

This movie was meant to be seen at the theatres, it's like a theme park ride.
- < Aye, this. I watched it at home and was terribly disappointed. barely a story, barely any purpose - just CGI.detritus
- unless your home system fucking rocks! I had a great time with big screen and 5.1 surrondmonospaced
- iCanHazQBN0
where did you watch it? u should watch it in 3D imax. watching it at home is not the same. it's all about the visual experience and not the storyline.

In this exclusive SoundWorks Collection profile we talk with Director Alfonso CuarĂ³n and Re-recording Mixer Skip Lievsay about the sound teams work to create a dramatic sound scape to a dark and vast outer space environment.
