Does the European working time directive apply to designers?
- No sensible labour laws ever seem apply to designers.Continuity
- I'm really bored of working until 8 or 9pm, its not like we are saving the world.qTime

It's all a bit hokey-kokey.

And he said he wants to be in charge until 2020! Great years ahead.

To me, Cameron is using this to distract the public from the other issues. Let him have it, in any case I'm all for letting the people vote.

Nobody cares because no-one in this country seems to be able (or willing) to explain what the EU is or stands for - so it just appears to be a money pit
Cameron is useless but the country's finance were totally wrecked by the last lot - Christ knows why anyone wants them back. Every time Ed Balls makes one of his flatline jibes it's like he's proud of what he's done, the cunt.
If it is put to a vote we'll be out of the EU thanks to UKIP/Daily Mail scaremongering, which the pro-EU lobby seems totally incapable of counteracting.
- I think you'll find that that mess goes back a lot further than Brown / Blair.qTime
- The mess basically has its origins with Thatcher, and Reagan by proxy.Continuity
- hans_glib - exactly, no ones ever 'sold' the idea of europe to ustrooperbill

Cameron is the worst kind of Tory.

Regarding the EU laws, It is estimated that the EU laws which need to be adhered to cost 2.5 times what our own laws cost.
The tories main problem which is a genuine concern is that we pay in about £440 each into the EU and receive £128 less than we pay in. It's just not good on paper at all. This is something which needs to be addressed.
It is also something which needs to be carefully addressed because it could be a whole lot less that we receive if we have to pay for trade etc. in Europe and the cost generated by going it alone would be substantial. If Cameron can actually pick and chose which would be great it would be a miracle.- Well Britain does pick and choose, this campaign is part of pick and choose negotiation, nothing else.shaft

And he said he wants to be in charge until 2020! Great years ahead.I think this is wishful thinking, on his part. He's managed to re-Thatcherise the UK to swiftly and completely — even more so than Thatcher herself — that he won't survive the next general election.
And his monkey Clegg will never been seen in politics again.
- *so swiftly [...]Continuity
- Agree, he's kinda Thatcher + Blair.chrisRG
- Well, the problem he's a bungler, whereas as Thatcher was shrewd and calculating. In a way, that makes him more dangerous.Continuity
- As much as I despise Thatcher at least she had a brain and wasn't from the Toff ClassqTime

the problem is public education
most people dont know what europe is about, they just hear about immigration and how much we pay to be in there, how they overturn our rules and how theyre taking our ability to make out own laws
they need to create a massive public awareness campaign on why europes so good for the uk
we joined without anyone saying 'why' over 40 years ago
