For glasses, yes.
done = designed?
no - done
great, now they're going to ban shades while driving because of these douchebags.
i think the name goggle is catchier.
"Google Goggle™" :P
so what it's it?.... go pro glasses by google?
Mark my words. This will never catch on. Stpid
The video for what google intend to do is awesome. Having a cheeky HUD that shows you messages and maps etc is brilliant. It is especially good when doing an activity like snowboarding or cycling, just use your voice or tap a button on the side to select maps or messages etc. very very promising. I would defo. Wear these if doing a sport or an activity which uses both hands. While walking about on the street... Hmmm maybe not.
It's 2013's Google Wave.
A friend saw a guy on NYC with the thing. I think this could work fine by 2014.
Of course it will catch on. There is the price/usability thing that has to be done right, but in the long run, this is something that will happen.
Many people thought the iPad was stupid before it came out.
I have a laptop! I have an iPhone! Why do I need this?!!!
You will need this.
People wearing headcams—unless they're disabled, doing outdoor sports or work in shop security—will look creepy, and rightfully so.
A likely scenario is for Google to get $gazillion orders from police who will record every single interaction with people they protect and serve from then on.
Tell me it isnt weird that every other person on the street has their head tipped down as they look at their phone. Not to mention people driving.
The change has started! Deal with it.
The headcam function is just one of many, messaging, mapping, weather, camera etc. pretty cool to look at sky and get weather forecast. At night see the stars. I like the idea of being able to take snaps with it. Blink to take picture yessss. Beyond mapping messaging and basic note taking weather camera etc. it's not got much use but I do like it. I hope it's not heart stoppingly expensive!!!
I'd love this shit if it were slightly less awful looking.
- 'not got much use' one of those phrases that will be repeated years from now like 'i cant see why you would want a computer in your house.twokids
- How many apps do you use regularly? When did you last use the sky mapping app you paid a fiver for?raf
- Dude I use that sky app all the time it's magic, I used it the other night out with the dog :Dchossy
Well it doesn't have much use outside of the things I mentioned, and the things I mentioned I would fucking love on a sweet HUD. I don't think I would like to browse a website with it or take long notes or design anything etc. it's just a way of releasing some of your phones features from your pocket.
