The lie is completely transparent. They don't want smaller government. They just want to push it all on to the states - states like Oklahoma, Alabama and the rest of the progressive ones.
- IRNlun60
They had a big hand in running up the bill and are now trying to walk out on the tab. Hard to put any faith in conservatives which can't even acknowledge their responsibility in amassing this debt. These petty actions seem more like an attempt to keep people believing in the lie that conservatives want small government and reduced spending.

Peaceful Revolution! Remember before there was a Constitution there was The Articles of Confederation. Confederations mitigate the risks of unrepresentative, totalitarian governements and were at the core of libertarian philosophy during the Age of Enlightment. Ever since the civil war, which was fought over federal/confederate political philosophy, we see the totalitarian government emerge and become a burdon on the states.. as well puts every state at risk by putting 'all your eggs in one basket'.. now the States (and people I should say) are reawakening to the philosophies of liberty as an answer to the current problems we face.. hence these petitions to secede - i don't see this as a red/blue issue at all
- Yeah, slavery really didn't have any part of the civil war.aaux
- do your history aaux, i don't need to explain thisbliznutty
- do YOUR history, bliz, writing off slavery as a primary source of the civil war is just plain ignorant.aaux
- it wasn't the primary source.. if it were about freeing slaves Lincoln could have just bought them for less than warbliznutty
- I said >A< primary source, you completely wrote it off. And no, lincoln could not just buy them all, the south would not allow it. Christ, where did you go to school, texas?aaux
- it. Christ, where did you go to school, texas?aaux
- aaux you obviously slobbed the knob of a corporate indoctrinized americentric high-school education..bliznutty
- how much you want to bet you're wearing clothes made by modern slaves right now?bliznutty
- Oh, you're a nutjob libertarian. Sorry, thought maybe a rational person was typing.aaux
- "americentric high-school education" the civil war occurred in the united states, fyi. And what corporation would you be referring to?aaux
- you be referring to? Coke a big supporter of a secret war against liberty?aaux
- Fucking nutbag. The ron paul revolution ended when he bent over and took it up the ass from the GOP, fella. Grow up.aaux
- i'm watching your shit collapse right in your fucking face.. i ain't wit you one bitbliznutty
- What is collapsing? Your silly little libertarian version of history? Read some fucking books, dude.aaux
- ain't wit? who the fuck says that stuff? the H too hard to type?aaux

Can't wait until they form a series of small countries that share the same continent as the US.
Especially the ones with oil.
And military bases.
Let's all think for a minute what the US would do to a small country that has a standing army and military hardware, and oil.
Do you suppose there would be 100 years of peaceful trade and tourism, with the little country selling the oil to the big nasty country ?
No. They would be droned and invaded out of existence - tens of thousands of refugees roaming the countryside, borders choked, industrial and military facilities smashed and burning. Rail, road, water and ports all inoperable. Militias hopelessly outgunned, blasted to bits with state flags burning around them.
They wouldn't last 5 fucking minutes.
