The switch to Android is starting
On the New Apple Maps: What Would It Take for Us To Leave the iPhone?
The latest version of the iPhone is the first one that provides a legitimate reason to ditch Apple.

- The switch? Android is technically the market leader in terms of penetration. Not like they are Win 8 Phone.ETM

Hmm, the Victorian Police have now issued another warning for Google Maps. Funny, none of the the other news outlets are picking this one up. Guess it's not as sensational if it doesn't have Apple in the headline.

@monolith
I get that they could have kept paying Google to serve us with what we already had, but that would mean being inferior forever. They chose being inferior for 1/2 years and control their future. Why can't you acknowledge that? Have you ever done business? Better yet, have you ever done business with your biggest competitor? Do you like it when he keeps sticking it up your butt? One more year of butt sticking is fucking hard to remove and gives you a nasty hole.If Google had released Turn-by-Turn navigation, vector tiles and lots of other improvements for iOS like they have on Android and Apple cut the cord to that, implementing their inferior solution, then I'd be outraged.
Google never released those things intentionally crippling iOS. I would have done the same. Apple can't be in a position to depend on others anymore. They have to control as much of the experience as possible or stuff like this will keep happening. Even if that means sacrificing some quality temporarily.

^ Nope they don't claim sanctity and end up producing drivel.
"When you think about your iPhone, it’s probably the object that you use most in your life. It’s the product that you have with you all the time. With this unique relationship people have with their iPhone, we take changing it really seriously. We don’t to just want to make a new phone. We want to make a much better phone. iPhone 5 is the result of this approach."Holla @ yo' boi nagga!

Apple Is Following Microsoft's Path In Alarming Ways
- futuremongolian0
What happened the last time Apple almost destroyed itself? Oh yeah, Jobs was gone and they were obsessed with suing and attacking Microsoft.
History is repeating itself with Android taking the place of MS. But Jobs won't be able to bail them out this time. At least the collapse will be entertaining, I just hope they don't fuck up their laptops in the process.

Has anyone tried the Search function in the new App Store (in iPhone)?
It's completely non-functional. How does something like that get passed? It's almost as if they don't test their software at all.
