  Sick of dealing with clients and their neurotic comments about my work. Don't want to take a vacation. I want to smash my computer.

  I've been seriously considering learning to become a producer of electronic dance music (rather than a DJ) in my spare time, as it's passion of mine - but all the gear and software seems like a massive learning curve and investment lol.

  Was in a booth at a club with DJ friend the other night messing around with his launch pad after it closed, so fun :D

  Thanks for the advice. Are there any midi keyboards you would recommend? I had a look at some the other day but really have no idea where to start lol. I also know you can get synths etc for iPads, and since we have 2 in our household (if I thieve my girlfriends), they could form a part of the workflow..?

    ipad also makes a decent/passable synth, but a better controller. lots of great controller s/w for ipad.– sublocked2/6

    yeah the lil akais are good, or a novation sl25 for lots of knobs 'n goodies, buy used! hit up ebay like me.– prophetone3/6

    maschine will get you drumming and sequencing things, keyboard controller for synths, all else is software...– prophetone4/6

    i personally use pro tools but ableton is the bomb and so is logic, just preference 'n budget then go...– prophetone5/6
