I still have to agree with sublocked... if you're eating someones face, I think that's grounds for some shooting... I mean... eating someones face. I think I'd piss myself if I saw that. I probably would think zombie!
Like I said, normally I am not one to back the police... and perhaps a phaser could have worked... but the story said one shot didn't stop the dude, so I'm not sure a phaser would have worked, and I'm not sure I'd want to take my chances.
I know it's only the cops side... but when they other side is eating faces, I'm not sure I'm going to listen to their side of the story.

Talked to my cop neighbor friend about it earlier. he said the first shot was probably intended to kill him. "We're trained to kill, not wound." Miami's where he's originally from too. So I totally get the justified homicide, but murder of an unarmed/unclothed man just the same.
