I got one, very impressed so far. Size is a little awkward but not unmanageable. 3G / Battery seems to have been ironed out and Kies seems ok although not tried so much yet.
- you see, just had to try it ehehheGeorgesII
- btw Craig, can I ask why you bought it?GeorgesII
- to try itcraigatkinson

I disagree. I had an ipad and I love the idea of them. They're perfect for people who browse and email and no more. I need indesign / lightroom etc at most times so I have my mac with me.
My iphone is also fine and syncs well but a slightly larger screen on a phone I don't have a problem with and the drawing tool I think I could use too.
For me the questions are macbook vs ipad and iphone vs big phone!- iMac for working/watching. iPad for sofa/bed browsing and iPhone for out off the house. Perfect combo for me.set

Very happy with my Samsung Galaxy Plus so far. Don't need more for now.

Guys,
I'm just back from a fantastic weekend at cupertino and believe me when I say that the iphone 5 will blow your socks off.
Imagine for a sec, they took the best of samsung components and chips, added customisation android already had and packaged everything in a phone exactly of the same size as your mom's vibrator.
I'm not joking when I say,
this will be the end of all competitor phones, GO TEAM APPLE </3

I don't get it, the samsung looks huge. This weird void between a tablet and phone.

I use my phone to track my rides (GPS/run keeper) so I want as small as possible. I use an ipad when at home.
Im interested to see how andriod has progressed though, been a few years since I have used a robot phone.

I hate QBN. I had decided against this phone last year but I had another go today and it does seem very good. Anyone after a new iPhone 4s?!

Yeah my old desire used to have loads of connection dropouts. No problems so far with the note though.
- craigatkinson0
I went to look at it today, out of curiosity and actually it looks decent - I didn't expect it to.
The main issues with that last couple of androids I had, Nexus and desire was the battery, lack of any credible 3G and music / podcast sync. If these have been overcome then I'll have a go.

Go for the note mate, I've had mine a few weeks and no gripes what so ever. You get used to the size pretty quickly too.
There's plenty of software out there for podcasts and music. doubleTwist for example lets you download podcasts on the go and allows for wireless transfer of music on the paid version.
- craigatkinson0
What about podcasts? I remember having a problem playing / syncing podcasts. Thanks for the above though

So those of you using this phone, for someone who's used to iphone / itunes sync and backup, how do you sync and backup and what are you using to transfer music to the phone?
- The beauty of android is you transfer files (Inc music) like a USB key! Hassle free, no nees for iTunes!Hombre_Lobo
- Also back up wise there are several software choices. Clockwork recovery mod is popular among geeks like myself...Hombre_Lobo
- Myself who change system settings, appearance etc but I'm pretty sure kies can do it too.Hombre_Lobo

- Dropbox ftw, good point robo.Hombre_Lobo
- I am on a Galaxy S2 and I use Winamp with Wireless Sync and also Dropbox.orrinward2

I am waiting for Windows (believe it or not). The phones I've played with at att are so fast and smooth, it makes my iPhone4S seem archaic. Not a fan of Android, looks just like Apple's designs but less smooth. Windows...mark my words!
- The windows phones are underrated, v v smooth interface, I wouldn't mind one at all.Hombre_Lobo

I think Galaxy Note is an example of what we might see as a new standard in general purpose personal computers. It's got an amazing screen, it's slightly bigger than a phone but still can be used as one fairly comfortably, it has stylus to fill in that gap for scribbling notes where using a finger is really weird, amazing battery life with 4G speeds and open for customization is some really full blown apps for productivity if you need to write something or basically do some light work.
It can connect to a big screen/monitor and you can even connect a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to it.
This guy is doing it all .. very interesting

iPhone is a one button yawn. But for my parents it's perfect because all the thinking and arranging is done for you.
Galaxy SII and Note are straight up fun with killer battery life and full on customizing you can do. they are open systems and the coolest thing is when their operating system, ICS goes out of beta in a month or so. The pan and swipe will become industry standard as far as usability. it also has decent audio so you can use the phone as a jam box whenever you're in need of tunes, that's what i really like.
- Galaxy S2 does not have killer battery life unless you get a chunky aftermarket one.orrinward2

Damn.. that Galaxy Note review makes me want it really bad.
