My new little setup for when I don't want to sit at a computer.
Still learning the Digitakt. Played with Scooper the other night with Patterning app on iPad - seems like good scattering fun. Havent played with the T-03 yet though ... fully aware of what it does though lol.
Still to get the whole lot wired and synced up together.
Plan is to be able to use the MidiFighter Twister to control 8 channels of the Digitakt, so 1 Volume and 3 other parameters. That'll be over 2 banks of the twister. Then the third back of twister will be to control top level parameters and effects on the Digitakt. TB-03 into the autio-in of the DIgitakt. Scooper taking and mangling the final audio out of the Digitakt.

win. Vermona said it will be like 60euro to service and If I mail it next week when I get back to Berlin, they should have it finished and in the mail before I leave 3 weeks later..
new they are $742 AUD.. and repairs with shipping it will cost less than a hundred to get it repaired.
- Dayum, don't you love it when a plan comes together?keewee

plugins.... any good free ones you use regularly or on everything?
I use this on everything:
https://www.tokyodawn.net/proxim…
It can be very subtle, gives a synth/beat a little 'proximity' / some distance / some air.And their other free plugins I always use on every master channel.

https://www.tokyodawn.net/tdr-ko…
https://www.tokyodawn.net/tdr-no…- Proximity is also great on the master channel to fade out a song at the end.shapesalad
- They look decent for free!microkorg
- never got in to proximity (tried it a few times on your suggestion) nova is incredible - got the full version but the free one does for most things.kingsteven
- think i only got nova after buying slick eq, my experiences with free stuff from other folks aren't great. would love some recommends though.kingsteven

- Looks like a sequencer to me. Hopefully it's standalone and not a module.section_014
- I was thinking something along the lines of an MC-202 w/ sequencer, semi modular, extra in/outs, to be popped into a eurorack setupprophetone
- yea 202futurefood
- Mother 32!?kingsteven
- Ok yeah looks like a Mother32 format hmmmprophetone

Do any of you have this desk, the Platform desk from Output?
I'd love to get this eventually, because it seems that they really nailed the arrangement and organization. $740 for the darker one with a keyboard try.
- niceprophetone
- I have one really similar that I got from Guitar Center for like $250. It's particle board at the core (probably), but it's worked good for me.section_014
- Nice desk but hefty price tag. Get in touch with a local joiner or cabinet maker. See if you can get similar made but more bespoke :)microkorg
- Funny enough micro, I've done some sketches of a desk I want to make with an Ikea counter top.mg33
- £2k UAD audio interface + £500 Adam A5 (5 inch) speakers is an admission of fail on this one IMO... doubt the A7's would even fit on there.kingsteven
- lol - talk about getting hung up on the little details ;)microkorg
- heh, my setup is basically this (but with A7x, Tannoys and Avantones) so speakers are always my first concern.kingsteven

Toying with the idea of either buying a Monomachine (again, sold it many moons ago before I really understood elektron gear) or the analog heat.
Thoughts?
- Mate has a Mono. Can't sell it! Nobody wants it!microkorg

6 weeks in and I haven't generated a single note with the Model D. Anyone want to buy it before I return it?
- y tho? Played it and didn't like it? Or didn't play it at all?section_014
- didn't play it at all. it's right there on my desk, i'm spending time doing other things though. I can return up to fridayimbecile
- when i had a quick play with one i was totally underwhelmed. tho i suspect it would repay time spent getting to understand it properlyhans_glib

- great design, cool boxprophetone
- Yeah he's got one sitting in a cupboard. They are quite rare to go on sale yes. I think it was the fact he couldnt get enough for it maybe?microkorg

Don't remember if I posted this before, the tenori-off just reminded how great it is... JS version of Laurie Spiegel's Music Mouse.

@autoflavor - may have dodged some $$$ depreciation going for the Machinedrum, not much new in here but hopefully will drop the price of the MKI units.
- yeah I was on the fence.. I want one, but couldn't find one to play with in person.. so I pulled the trigger on the monomachineautoflavour
- No Overbridge support (yet) which has a lot of Elektronauts pissed lol.microkorg
- but it just seems like a cosmetic upgrade more than anything. played with the new mkII analog4 and rytm the other day, definitely nicer interface, but not worthautoflavour
- upgrading purely for slight improvements in interfaceautoflavour
- Yeah, I get where they are coming from. Waited over a year for overbridge on the Analog Keys and RYTM, in the end I found it a real let down and sold them both!kingsteven
- I had mine running through pre-amps and decent A/Ds - the audio over USB sounded so flat. Got a pile of soft synths and UAD stuff - works far better for me.kingsteven
- yeah, sucker for the rytm and analog4, but still exploring them.. all about the elektron at the moment..autoflavour
- I had one of the first 100 Sidstations and was one of the first to own a MD ;-) but I just don't make enough electronic music to warrant it these days.kingsteven
- It was so exciting back in the day when Daniel was running the show and they were part of the Acne family. Both absolutely huge companies now...kingsteven
- I have an invite to the Elektron Superparty from 2002 here, just after the MD was released. Can post to Oz if you want it! https://i.imgur.com/…kingsteven

super happy.. will stop bragging.
but Vermona got back to me.. repairs were cheaper than expected..36euro with shipping to repair the retroverb ..
In the end paid only 36euro for a $750AUD device
picked up the mono machine .. been having a lot more fun with it now I understand the elektron architecture better.
can understand why I had issues before, its definitely not an all in one box (unless you are making chip tunes) but messing about with it these past days I can definitely see how I would be using it now.- also monomachine fits better with more techno/electronic music than instrumental hiphop .. which is where my head was when I had it last time.autoflavour

- NICE! I've been listing after the Faderfox MX12 too. Did you buy it new? I've been keeping my eye on eBay for one but they are rare as hens teeth!microkorg
- Is this for gigging? Better having something where lid comes off so people can see what you are doing.microkorg
- yeah still gotta work out the lid situation, at the moment it still attached.. but yep, no rush at the moment, still gotta finish the music making part.autoflavour
- and yep, MX12 got new.. thing is amazing. faderfox is so good ..autoflavour

Thinking about getting one more thing before I leave the land of cheaper gear and head back to expensive land..
Found a cheap elektron analog keys second hand..
Or the other option is getting a Motu 828xThe keys is more just a love affair with the analog4 gone wild and the Motu is just an upgrade as the digi003 I have had a weird latency bug with ableton ..
My brain says deal with the latency midi bug and get new interface..
Heart says new keyboards are always better
- There always seems to be AKeys on the cheap. It doesnt seem to hold its price as much as the A4.microkorg
- yeah definitely .. kind of why I am lured by it.. the motu will just run until it dies tho.. and holds no value whatsoever.autoflavour
- Ended up with the AK and picked up a motu midi express switch.. hopefully resolves issueautoflavour

- nice, i have a pedaltrain volta on my bass pedalboard... was shitting it the first couple of gigs but it works really well.kingsteven
