Get all your stuff on a Google apps account: sync email/imap, calendar & address book -- all built into osx.
dropbox or icloud for actual files i guess - though I'd just use a portable HD.

yeah?
no app to do all this automatically 4 me?

you don't need an app.
1) use google for your mail/cal/contacts
2) use os x ical/mail/adbook to sync google with your macs

Haven't heard about an app that will sync all in one go;
If you use gMail (or other IMAP mail) sync will be done automatically; Same for calendar - Apple Cal is connected to google calendar so it also syncs;
In terms of files I would use dropbox or other cloud storage;If you have Amazon Simple Storage and use Forklift, you can mount amazon storage as a virtual drive - very neat solution.

I just went through this the past few weeks as I have a Macpro at work and a newly acquired mbp for personal/side use.
this is what I've settled on for the time being (pretty much close to what everyone has already said):
1. Use google gmail/calendar/contacts.
2. In system preferences activate syncing via gmail for ical, ichat, address book, mac mail, etc.
3. dropbox is fucking awesome. I use it for my current projects. They have a free account with 2gb of storage. You'll have a dropbox folder on your iMac and one on your mbp. Anything you save in there is automatically uploaded/updated across your whole system. I also keep things like safari bookmarks, wacom pref's, etc in here.I say "settled" on because I'm basically waiting for apple's iCloud to come out. This will have 5gb storage and better syncing/integration into the OS. Currently the only thing I'm missing with my setup is there is no way to sync reminders in iCal
