Very primitive application. Reminds me of old Flash tweening with out any AS. Herm.
If Adobe is able to convert Flash into a html 5 engine. Steve can stop his crying. Flash programmers will be saved. And finally there will be peace on Earth.
- this is what we are looking at maybe 5-10 years away. They will utilize AS3 and existing tools to be used to publish to canvas and new browsers making it transparent for all developers and designers.Boz
- canvas and new browsers making it transparent for all developers and designers.Boz
- totally agree.dibec
- and soon somebody else will develop a way to do this that doesn't require AS3vaxorcist

So is it winning or is it primitive or what is it then?
You are contradicting yourself.

It is really a primitive application. It has a future if evolved and met with designer/coder needs/wants.
The winning comment is in regards to the Apple vs. Adobe war. It is nice to see Adobe stepping up to the plate and working on other solutions for media rich content. I am not happy about Apple controlling my performance nor battery life. I think that is solely my choice. Apple showed their backs on this, it was cowardly and shameful. Hence "Adobe #winning #tigerblood #f-18"
- I love how Adobe buttered up their love for Webkit in the ^ above ad.detritus

this thing is no flash. one day none of this bs will matter. flash will rule once again. angels will weep.
- Angels weep and we have to endure a new generation of flash intro screens to skip....vaxorcist

you know some guys are still programming sega genesis games too.
I kid you not.

problem with doing anything in html5 vs flash - people can see your code in html5. you make an online game and everything is there to be taken. with a swf it's a little harder to get at, and more so if you use an obscuring software.
- jon_d0
but you limit your audience with the plugin model.
open source is the way to go for a website, perhaps exclusive video and games can stay in flash for security.

Did some work for one of the bigger agencies that specializes in Flash and Flex work recently...and they mentioned that HTML5 and standards-based work has now eclipsed Flash in terms of their revenue.
No wonder even Flash evangelists are changing their tune...

I just made a square turn into a circle. Disappear, reappear and run off the canvas. yip.

This tool is just for creating websites, this is not for making 'fantasia 3000.'

I can see size becoming an issue. There is a basic "vector" (I will call it that for reference) authoring tool. If you want to "wow" you need to use, *.gif, *.png, *.jpg. My conclusion Flash would still be lighter, faster, more efficient in that regard.
So basically we are back to flash beta without propriety plugins. Interesting.
