Kerning looks too tight on LIGHTING. Especially on the L-I.

Not a fan of the black; the dark/heaviness is the opposite of illumination, and that's really throwing me off. What's your plan with color? Maybe try a line art version (outined/inverted). Otherwise, what they said.
- I assumed that it is just at sketch stage. In UK you are taught to work in BW first and then add colour once you can make it work in mono.foz

Is there a way to integrate the mark with the words?
- yovkov0
the name could be changed at this stage (if needed), if not, i'm thinking of regular 'ooor' and hairline thin 'lighting' , or using only the 'ooor' in the logo

the problem with OOOR is that you can't really...pronounce it
- doesnotexist0
OOOR almost looks like odor, what about kerning it so it's more like the audi logo. overlapping & such.

Perhaps if you added an H?

Is OOOR a acronym?
could teh ill look more like a light bulb?

Sorry but i think the original graphic created is far better than registe or monospaced efforts. These look like t-shirt designs.
The original looks far more akin to home interiorware branding. The typography or name of the first design needs looked at. I read it as odor too. Don't like the hexagonal lettering.
Have a look at competitors branding. Ikea, habitat etc
The target audience isn't going to be kids who are attracted to a skull-like shape with abstract text. I'm sure they'll be looking for something a bit more sophisticated yet modern.

lose the word "lighting".

I totally agree, microkorg, the original shape is more beautiful, hands down, and the proportions were nicer...I was really looking at a line-art version and started with registre's. Just toyin'

odor vs. ooor only really comes into play if your principal market is the unthinking segment of consumer class America.
Euros won't see a connection and well-bred yanks will see past it.
For what it's worth, I really like it and .. ahem.. would like to see their products! Only comment I have has already been made, in that the space between R and L feels a little tight.

first read as ODOR Lighting

sorry, but i find it shallow and pedantic.
Actually, i have "images" turned off, but i try to use this phrase at least 12 times a day. My coworkers hate me.

you've taken it the wrong direction. Make a U-Turn.

I get the origami but not the lighting
I keep trying to figure out what the shape is so its a little distracting
I would either try to work into it a play on light somehow, maybe the way the edge pieces are shaped or? Or I would simplify so that the shape was more symetrical all around
the type looks like a pasted on after thought. I would put some time into exploration there, looks like you just started...
