Okay..a little bit of update.. from the discussion today.. I have decided that i will be most likely using Gesture Works library for Flash/Flex to integrate in the mobile app i will build.
GestureWorks library (with the open source version) has over 200 various gestures/multitouch events and behaviors for Flash/Flex AS3.
It is really fantastic.. used by Google and many others.
So even though, AIR 2.6 does have support for multitouch and other touch events, this library extends tremendously the capabilities of the app which is really very important to create some immersive and interesting UI.

Isn't everyone in this industry trying to come up with a million dollar iphone app at the moment?
But what roughly is your idea? The criteria you've listed surely sound like what goes through every ones head trying to build apps??.. build an app that: 1. Is Useful. 2. Looks Pretty. 3. Is liked by everyone. 4. Has Millions of downloads( in the least time possible). 5. Requires Minimum Effort ( in the least time possible). 6. Uses social media to share content. 7. Makes me 1 million dollars.
F**k man, if it was this easy everyone would do it.. and i definitely wouldn't be posting here in 4 months time telling us you've done it, or handing out amazon vouchers... i'd be on a beach supping mojitos from some chick's tits!! :)
But good luck though..

I'm taking everyone's ideas and suggestions seriously... definitely trying to be open as much as possible..
And you know.. one of the things I'm trying to do here is help people who want to build apps and what obstacles and issues they might stumble upon and naturally using cross-platform tools like Adobe stuff so you are OS agnostic while building apps in the shortest possible time mind you.

Interesting to see someone put Adobe's "build it once, publish everywhere" claims to the test.

Good luck, Boz. I do remember reading somewhere that to actually get a million dollar app the numbers are stacked against you. By that I mean astronomically high downloads. I like that you're attempting this though, especially multiple platforms.
Good read about success in app building:

I am sure it will be easy. They you can write a book about it and make another million bucks.
