....I witnessed the biggest design movement in the 2000's. It was not an individual like Fairey or a something from an art gallery, or even a traditional, recognizable movement paired with a nationalist ideal i.e. 'Swiss Design'.
No. The biggest movement in graphic design was.... reflections.

I think bevels and reflections are here to stay...especially as design becomes more "tactile."
The bevel creates the illusion of reality.

I think reflections are just a fad. They will be gone soon enough.
I think that the biggest design trend is the integration of 3D elements into general design. Everywhere I look I see very sophisticated images built in 3D for general use in print, web, advertising, but integrated in a way where it is not like 'Hey! This was done in 3D!' It's just part of the toolkit now.

I take it nobody in this thread actually understands what a design movement is then.
Art Nouveau, Modernism, Bauhaus, Art Deco, eh... reflections and 3D.
