I like the logo but think it looks awful on the map.
The point marker is a nice touch, but the map doesn't work.

Looks like it would be expensive to print if you are ever doing any print collateral. The shading on the black copy and the red copy seems slightly different...the "AT" looks glossier. The Map looks realistic which is fine but I think the pinpoint should then also so it looks like that portion is one element and TRAVL AT is the name. Unless of course the URL is TRAVL.AT then the logo might need the pin point placed lower but I still think I real pin would be nice. Also for a web app a less serif font might look more dynamic but that's just my opinion I haven't experimented with any type so I'm not sure maybe what you have works the best...no idea.
Hope that's helpful...somewhat.
- it was helpful, thankspauliusuza
- I disagree about the pin being realistic. how it is now ties it to the type and makes it travel.at the rest i agreeProjectile

After reading some of the above I think losing the map for the logo might be a good idea...but the map could work in some form of video...maybe a location shot that zooms out to the map and then a pin falls into place...then transition logo...just a quick thought...

The map is stock-shot-fucking-awful. It looks 18th century. If you're going to use a 'map' at least visualise it as something which we use today. Plus the typeface is too old.
In a word: modernise.

Maybe simplify the map
- i_monk0
The Web 2.0 misspelling of Travel really clashes with the typeface selection and ye olde mappe.
- pauliusuza0
any suggestion for a more modern font?

What part, exactly, is the logo?

And lose the capital T if the client is going for a flickr tumblr thing.

lose the pin, everyone uses that already (google, citibank, etc...), I have seen it in so many commercials for so many companies exactly as you've shown it
- which makes it recognisable no?Projectile
- as others have used it yeah, which just adds confusion and dilutes the brandmonospaced
- No – all it makes it is classic borrowed interest.NONEIS
