Dude, that was awesome. Saw it last night with my boy and best friend.

I like how Anne Hathaway was never referred as Catwoman. Every article in the news is saying "catwoman" except that, in the movie she was just Selina Kyle.
The slight cat-like reference were her googles when she had them over her head like a hairband.Small but thoughtful detail.

Bane sounds like Sean Connery speaking through a shitty megaphone.

It's fun going back and reading the early comments about people trashing Anne as Catwoman, and it turns out she was completely awesome in Rises.
- dat ass! entire theatre was looking to the right when she was on the motorcycle.pango

- in the interview she did say she rided in some shots. and there were behind the scene clips of her riding it.pango
- i did hate on her in this role but she pulled it off. one of the only few good things in this movietredesigns

Was a fun and intense movie.
spoilerz:
I wonder how much screen time batman really has out of 164 mins i would guess somewhere around 25.
This movie will probably not be as good when watched second time around, since alot of it depends on not knowing what's going to happen. Although this is how Nolan movies are.I see alot of people complaining about the script, "omg how does he get from mexico to gotham?" "how does he track catwoman?" "how does his leg magicly heal in mexico?" etc.. while this is true this is fucking BATMAN, cmon.
Dark knight has alot of these issues aswell just look at the beginning with the robbery. How does joker drive the bus from the bank wall to the street without noone on the street noticing. I mean surely the bus must of have blocked the way for other cars.
- I think eeeeeevery action movie has a moment of what in the fuck fuck?k_temp

JTB, his voice in the final film IS overdubbed. Download the original prologue from the torrent sites. That's the original voice. You can tell that it's his voice while shooting the scenes.
Then watch the movie again, or download a torrent of that too. Not only is the voice much louder and separate from everyone else on screen, but the entire delivery of the lines (and even some words from the prologue), are completely different.
In the prologue it's very difficult to pick up much of what he's saying, but he did sound much cooler. He sounds like an idiot in the final movie. The voice is much goofier in the final movie. Hardy definitely went in and rerecorded all of it.
- If that's the case then they really fucked up. Because he's just as unintelligible. The vol. differential was awful.jtb26
- He's easier to understand in the final movie. Trust me. Watch the prologue, totally mumbling.CygnusZero4
- But the sound of the voice itself was cooler in the prologue.CygnusZero4
- He sounds silly now in the movie, but it is a bit easier to pick up on what he's saying.CygnusZero4
- The line, "they expect one of us in the wreckage brother", was not clear in the prologue.CygnusZero4
- In the movie the delivery of that line is now very different and easier to understand.CygnusZero4
- They did the same thing with Darth Vader, except Vader didn't sound like Dr. Evil.CygnusZero4

I just don't understand how a leader of the underworld would develop a poncy, echoing British accent underneath that mask. It's nonsensical. I know what GeorgesII is saying, but whatever a villain like Bane is meant to sound like, it's not like that.
I think it was within the first five minutes of Bane being on camera that I was just... surprised/disappointed/appalled... by this heavily dubbed audio. It kind of ruined the whole rest of the film for me; I couldn't get its ridiculousness out of my head. I did just look at one YouTube clip about Bane's voice, and the comments are right down the middle. Each to their own, I guess.
- I think Alan Rickman did fine in Die Hard with his poncy accent. The shitty sound was far, far worse.ian

I had no problem with Bane's voice. The jacked up volume made it feel like he's a powerfull presence. What I DO have a problem with ->
- Spoilers ->Sep
- Blake knowing Bruce was Batman by looking in his eyes.Sep
- Nuclear bombs that go off in exactly 5 mounths, with timer.Sep
- Gotham being New York city all of a sudden.Sep
- Otherwise, loved it.Sep
- Yeah, gotham as new york, it felt like any world they'd set up in the first was erased.ian

- but before it was Chicago... so what's the problem? You always knew it was a metrop. cityk_temp

Bane's voice wasn't dubbed. They jacked up the volume in the mix which is what made it sound unnatural. An over dub may have actually been better. There were times in the movie where the garbled sound and volume took me out of the experience.
Otherwise I liked it save for the ending.
- pango0
ya bane's voice was disappointed... i heard someone mentioned they re did his voice to make it easier to understand... sure they achieved that but now it just sound like it's added on... it's like watching a foreign film with english dub. :(
- BuddhaHat0
The spoiler for me was Bane's voice. I just thought it was ridiculous. I rank this #3 in the trilogy in pretty much every aspect. I think I need to watch The Dark Knight again to remind myself how good a Batman movie CAN be.
- ukit20
I don't know, but I was surprised that Talia Al-Ghul turned out to be Catwoman.
- prophetone0
so in the final scene, when batman and bane are fighting atop the cathedral, bane gets the upper hand and batman grabs his arm, they both plummet to their deaths, etc. etc... that made sense, especially after the thing with the riddler tie-in, but my question is why does selena kyle put bruce wayne's childhood pinwheel back in his father's safe? also before that, why did alfred go back to the bat cave, only to stare at a fresh bat suit and say "i will burn this forest down"..?!? so many loose ends...
- the cgi joker appearance didn't help in that scene either.inteliboy
- exactly, this is like prometheus all over againprophetone
- pango0
Ya batman failed after all and everyone died.
- ukit20
Good movie. Too bad Batman died.
