I've sampled some very pricey and professional earphones (housemate's a producer) and nothing will ever, ever beat the bass that Skullcandy gives me. But I listen to a lot of bassy stuff. If you're more into girly, wishy washy music then get something else :P
I for one am currently putting mine on and about to listen to this badass shit

- have used these for the past 4 years, great sound and lightweightJeremyhead
- REALLY worth purchasing - agreed on bass response, lightweight as fuck. only complaint is easily breakable cord, but dead serious—they offer a FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THESE HEADPHONES.mcmillions
- but it's cool because they include a FUCKING FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY.mcmillions

^^ Taken from the review:
"According to Koss, the sound output is handled by "neodymium iron boron rare earth magnet structures" that provide a 15-25,000Hz frequency range, which certainly sounds like random vendor jargon, but truth is that for the sub-$50 range, the Koss PortaPros are the headphones to beat."

Just got these almost a month ago.
$150 - almost the same as the $300 Beat by Dre. Almost no difference. In fact I thought the low and mids sound better. and Beat's have maybe 5% more bass if that. I got the same vibrating buzz as the Beats, which I like and the noise cancelation is just about 100 depending on volume level. Noise leakage is no problem, I fucking blast these mutha fuckas on the bus, I even ask people next to me if they are to loud at max. volume. THey say its fine. I'm almost tempted to get another pair incase these break year from now. I love them. I've had Bose headphone and other Sony's for the size and cost these are DOPE as hell!! Comfort level can be a factor is the only thing if you wear glasses, besides that. no complaints. FYI: It has a mic so also dubs as talking head set for phone.

Refurb MDR-V6 for $39, US shipping only. This is a bargain. I ordered 2 after a few weeks of waiting for them to appear in refurb store.
