So I took a look at the Sony lineup in the store and I wasn't impressed, the build quality was not on par with Apple, Samsung S6 and others.
I was impressed by the HTC One M9, the case was beautiful and built like a tank. I think this will be my next phone, despite of the camera.. It's just a bit expensive for what I planned to do with it but the nice metal cases come only with the higher end phones I think..
- get an S6, I'm totally in love with mine and every fuckn update they push makes even better
pros: alles
cons: can't fuckn turn off shutter soundGeorgesIV - Yeah I have seen it but I really like the metal body of the M9 more..mekk
- you must be joking, the build quality on sony is utterly on par with the others. What the feck were you looking at the cheaper options?set
- the M9 is equally nice though for sure. Haven't had a look t the S6set
- but Georges has it so it must be utterly and horrendously shitset
- Yeah, Sony handsets are mint. Only the Z compacts could remotely be classed as 'cheap' because they use hard plastic instead of metal.face_melter
- But everything else is on point - camera, screen, glass, finish. Makes a mockery of every other Android handset, to be honest.face_melter
- Can't mute the shutter sound? Weird.monospaced

Anyone here ever install a dual-boot on his iPhone, Android and iOS?
Seems like its possible. http://ios.wonderhowto.com/how-t…
- Interesting curio. I did this with my old iPhone 3G. Slow as hell and made it hotter than the sun - battery lasted about 12 minutes. Also: April fool.face_melter

Researchers from the Delft University of Technology have developed a self-replicating, mutating Android app which can create on-the-fly mesh networks in the event of an infrastructural disaster, or the enabling of internet kill switches by oppressive regimes. The app's source is available at GitHub, and the app itself requires no root privileges to propagate. It can self-compile while it mutates — for example, from a game to a calculator — in transit from one Android device to another, and compatibility with iOS and Windows phones is anticipated.
- Can also self learn and restrict access to all non Skynet intelligences.fadein11
- Pretty sure this is the birth of skynetmonospaced

I'm officially switching from Apple to Android.
How do you manage your mp3 on your computer? Whats the alternative to iTunes when you have an Android?

*bump*
How do you manage your mp3 on your computer? Whats the alternative to iTunes when you have an Android?
- Google Play Music, you can upload up to 50,000 songskgvs72
- But what software do you use on your computer to manage it all? Is there a Google Play Music for desktop?Ben99
- if you want to stay out of the googles, you can buy a big microsd and just load tracks on it. Google Play Music or a slew of other apps can play themakiersky
- i just find iSyncr. You can sync your desktop iTunes with your Android device with this.Ben99
- Bizarrlely enough, on my Mac I used iTunes to organise everything and then copied the folders across from Finder using Android File Transfer. Decent enough.face_melter
- ^ same, works perfectly.set
- i'll try iSyncr and let you knowBen99
- so, the only part of the Apple flow you use is its absolute worst product?monospaced
- Please, o wonderous sage, enligten us with your iTunes wisdom so we all may benefit from its heavenly glow.face_melter
- Or. It worked fine for me and had no proplems so your belly-aching means absolutely fuck all.face_melter
- iTunes is such a piece of shit of non-intuitive software. It was once useful, and now it's a goddamn nightmare. I wish there was a different way. not sarcasticmonospaced

How does everyone sync their Outlook contacts (desktop app, not cloud)?
So far, it looks like it is nearly impossible. I do NOT want my business contacts in Gmail.

Knocked this crazy iPhone carnival on the head and went back to Android with the Z5 Compact.
One of the tidiest handsets I have owned - sits well in the hand, excellent finish with great build quality. Sony's version of Android is really good as well - almost stock with a few extras on top that are neither obnoxious or intrusive and prove to be useful such as audio enhancements and the option to adjust the screen colour temperature. A really, really, nice phone truth be told.

Anyone have M yet? Does it include the Visual Voicemail feature?

Any security experts here? Really I need some serious help...
I don't dare use this device, because It doesn't appear to be a safe device, but have to. And I have no idea what to do.
Malwarebytes and Avast mobile scan solutions aren't showing any issues but I want to know that this rom clean or not and that I will be able to install a stock android system on this device- go to XDA and look for the phone page - a very good chance there will be a page dedicated to it with custom roms and development.face_melter
- that's where I started :)sted
- and found nothing... :(sted
- It looks like your usual cheap-as-hell Chinese trap phone. The rom is probably ok, just customised. But why do you *have* to use it?face_melter
- bought it for travel, so I don't have to take with me my regular phone. I had no problems with it, but yesterday received a phishing sms and began to worry :(sted
- wouldn't that just mean the # is out there? Prepaid phones I"ve had recycle numbers so often you get strange calls/textsformed
- Yeah, having odd txt messages won't do anything unless you tap a link or open an attachment.face_melter
- Yeah I know, but the thing is that I have this number for 8 years and never received any of these messages. Got some help to uninstall and filter some crap.sted
- But as it was pointed out on xda these phones have built-in spyware, and closed kernel so it's almost impossible to tell what's going on, or revert it to stock.sted

All of a sudden, sometime in the past couple weeks, my Nexus 5x doesn't want to access my music or photos from before a couple weeks ago. I've connected to my computer and the mp3s are in the /Music directory on the device, but when I open Google Play Music it doesn't seem to access them. It definitely worked fine for months and suddenly stopped. I installed another music player and it also appears to not see the files.
Anyone know how to fix this? Googling hasn't helped.
- K I tried everything like deleting .nomedia file, restarting, Refresh option. Then I tried re-copying the mp3s onto the phone and that worked. #fuckingannoyingnb

I'm in the market to buy a new phone to my daugther.
Huawei P9 Lite or Sony Xperia M5? What will you recommend?
- The Hawaii is more likely to get updates in the future (depending on the carrier, I suppose), has a fingerorint sensor, larger battery and better camera...face_melter
- software. Sony's laggy, and slow. Also Hawaii's UI is a bit more approachable given that it is styled after iOS. Sony has waterproofing which is good for kids.face_melter

I was inside the Sprint store yesterday and the LG rep was there. I started talking to her about LG phones and she showed me the LG v20 which comes out in about two weeks.
Damn. I was very impressed, the camera is totally insane! Also has sick image stabilization for video and an easily removable battery. It's also suppose to have the best audio of any phone.
Not water resistant like Note 7 and iPhone though.
The big question I have is the screen.
I love the screen on my Note 5 (super amoled)
this LG v20 has IPS LCD
whats the big difference on that?
I looked at my Instagram photos on my Note 5 and her V20 and the colors looked richer on mine also more contrast.

- that's why Samsung's screens look so much nicer than an iphone, tooformed

sick!!
but it quite fuckn big- "it looks like the future" lol
It looks about 4mm different than my phoneset - So your phone has no front-facing earpiece, hidden camera, and an almost body-wide screen? You're talking out your arse.face_melter
- I hear it's the same size as the iphone 7+. I was surprised the Note7 was only a tad taller than my S5, but larger screen. The bezelless design is deceptive.formed
- My phone basically looks the same minus a few mm here and there, yes.set
