    *Standard cars - Rollover, Mechanical Damage, Dents, Dirt, and Scratches, Standard Headlights, and generic cockpit view (as far as we know).

    Photo Mode (In Depth):

    *Race Photo - take pictures of car while replay
    *Travel Photo - Park your car in any designated place in the provided area and walk around to get the angle of picture you want
    *Allows for Full Manual and AUTO mode usage, just as with professional Digital SLR cameras; White Balance, focal length, shutter speed, F stop, etc.
    *Photo Album shots can be uploaded online to share

    Online Mode (In Depth):

    *BBS
    *Personal Logs
    *Mail
    *My Lounge - Monitor your friend’s progress (trophies, career status, etc.), set up private races with them, and spectate on live online races that are already underway from any camera angle, while focusing on any player’s car that you want.
    *You will be able to define your own password-protected online races with your friends, and you’ll be able to control all of the event’s regulations.
    *Track Days, where everyone can drive freely on the track. You can try to shave down your laptimes, you can teach someone how to drive, or just enjoy drifting (heck ya on my part).
    *Up to 16 players online, and up to 32 in a private lobby.

    *Pit crews are fully animated, as well as shifting gears in cockpit view with premium cars.
    *GT5 will be produced in 12 languages
    *There will be a Beginner school in GT5 specifically for the novice
    *GT5's graphic will continue to improve until release day
    *Honda HSV is currently in the works, but might not make it in time for release day (DLC anyone?)
    *Dynamic Crowds - Crowds will be empty in non-events, but filled in actual events like 24 hour Le Mans
    *Night and Day weather can be set in real time according to actual place
    *Honks will be available in all cars
    *Smoke, Dirt, Pebbles, Sparks, Engine and Wind noise are replicated realistically in the game.
    *Customization will be better than GT4 (hmmmm...)
    *GT5P replays can be carried over and viewed.
    *Dynamic weather in 24 hour endurance races
    *In-depth B-spec mode with driver status (fatigue, awareness, etc.)
    *Weather conditions are randomized. Forecasts for your race will be available but may not be entirely accurate, just like the real world.
    *Gran Turismo Anywhere
    *Weather changes include temperature differences, air pressure changes, and humidity, affecting the surface conditions of the track dynamically.
    *Polyphony Digital has helped Red Bull Racing’s Adrian Newey design the X1 Concept – an “ultimate” racing car, free of any technical regulations.
    *Yamauchi admits that, in certain situations – such as standing race starts in the rain with 15 other cars on the screen kicking up spray in front of you – the game may not be able to hold 60FPS. Otherwise, it will strive to hold 60FPS as often as possible.
    *The Volkswagen Kubelwagen, which has a drive system like the first beetle, and the amphibious Volkswagen Schwimmwagen will be in the game.

    Im not crazy into cars either, I love nice cars, cant afford any of the ones I like, but racing people is still fun. Im into the competition.
