^ true, but now they have an engine to build from, so a sequel *shouldn't* take as long. But hey, some new courses would be nice! I'd pay for an add-on pack of those

You can beat that second to last championship with the Veyron, you can actually tune it so it has more horsepower, and obviously can shave some weight.

Can't believe people were disappointed with this game, it's pretty fun once you get a few wins under your belt.

Damn...Steve...SO TRUE. It really sucks when you're doing a championship, if you have a couple of bad races you have to start all over again. I made it to 22. I still havent beat that damn classic race car series though.
- use a dodge challenger R/T 70' with race modifications, full tune & racing softelektro

The level of detail in this game is insane.

Not excited about this game in the least. Pretty to look at sure, but I can't muster any more interest than that.

ahh sorry, i posted the wrong ford gt. mine is the newer lm race car:
don't even remember what i won it for. i think it was one of those random 'grab bag' ticktets.Jack, the classic car race is one of three i have left to beat in expert mode, the others being the last two. i'm just holding off on it because i don't have any car that comes even close to what you're up against in that race. i blew like 60k on tuning a '70 dodge challenger, and i couldn't even pace the other cars... will prolly save up for that shelby cobra at the dealer and see if it's enough to take them on. used car lot hasn't had shit lately..
- LOL...I tried with the Challenger and failed as well, the Cobra might do it, but there's still a horse power disadvantage there.JackRyan

Wait this game is 3d too? Holy shit!
- I read that the 3D effect wasn't as good as other racing games, but yeah... cool.Gucci

If I don't get a copy of GT5 before 2011 I will throw my PS3 out my window and buy a Microsoft Xbox 360

meh, for how long they've been working on it. This just looks like a nice version of GT1.

me neither. i'm just grinding and have saved up about 1.4 mil. i'd like to hold out for the 1991 Mazda 787B Race Car:
I don't remember its exact price tag.. somewhere between 3.5 and 5.5 mil, and level 23, i believe. i think besides the black gran turismo modeled gt lm test car, it's the only race car in it's class you can buy from new or used dealers. i'm sure having this thing fully-tuned could win that second-to-last expert championship with 1st place pretty easily.and why not.. not much else to do in the game..

i have that car. i only used it for one or two of the races it qualified for, but didn't care for its handling abilities. i guess i'll have to see if i can tweak it to make it a bit more viable. with 900+hp, it's definitely got something to start with..
