Anybody know of any good sound proofing or acoustic panels? Looking to pick some up for the office. Lots of search engine returns are a bit gaudy. Any help or vendors would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

you can get designer tiles and baffles, not sure if they're any good, pretty costly.
http://www.offecct.se/_eng/bilda…- We've been trying to figure out how to get a price on these - anybody have a vendor?spookDD
- we got a quote, worked out at about £80 a tilekingsteven

Wedges work great. If you want a budget version, just buy the square footage you need and spray-mount them to masonite and fix to the walls in unison. The last audio bay I worked in had carpet floors and a soft ceiling, 3 walls were treated with a 4 foot vertical strip around the room. The 4th wall was an additional computer setup with cabinets. Home depot will cut the masonite to size if you request it. Combined with proper monitor speakers elevated to a parallel height they do an amazing job.
Ook nail hangers are great for heavy dry wall istallation, unless you dry wall screw directly into the wall.

things like acoustic panels and wedges are technically not "sound proofing", they are for dampening sound waves within a room, not for making it more quiet outside of a room.
if you want to control sound escaping a room it involves some construction, decoupling walls, floors and ceiling from the surrounding space, essentially building a room "floating" within a room.
- my thoughts too.
Would thick heavy fabric curtains do the job?Miguex

We just want to control sounds. Dampen it a bit for calls and presentations. Mad echo in that room. Liking these in white:

- when I looked in to dampening it was things like cubes (hanging from the ceiling) and baffles/ panels/ separators that looked to be most effectivekingsteven
