    things like acoustic panels and wedges are technically not "sound proofing", they are for dampening sound waves within a room, not for making it more quiet outside of a room.

    if you want to control sound escaping a room it involves some construction, decoupling walls, floors and ceiling from the surrounding space, essentially building a room "floating" within a room.

    • my thoughts too.
      Would thick heavy fabric curtains do the job?
