Great movie, a realistic script. Writer/director grew up around NYC investment bankers.

Free on Amazon Prime
with Commercials- i tried to watch it but felt asleepBennn
- same here, i keep trying, but i keep sleepingmoldero
- The amazing cinematography alone was enough to pull me through the dull story.CygnusZero4
- Amazon Prime w/ Commercials (IMDB) isn't bad at all! Reminds me of vintage TV watchingnb
- Amazing film, in every way. Not dull. Slow, yes. But not dull. Story, cinematography, soundtrack... all ace. A worthy successor.jagara
- I found it dull. Well, I enjoyed the sets and cinematography but the story and characters not so much.webazoot
- Just rewatched it last night, this movie is a masterpiece. Makes me look forward to Dune.zarkonite

I finally watched this 2004 film last night and now believe the hype as it really is one of the best music docs I think I've ever seen. I'm no a fan of either band though I have seen The Dandy Warhols live a couple of times but I wasn't expecting to be quite so moved despite the awful behaviour of both bands at times, but it really is a great watch!
- One of the best music docs ever. I barely knew either of these bands when I saw this (in the theatre) and I still loved itnb
- What’s really cool about it is how much footage they have over the years. Too many docs are just talking headsnb
- Great film. Anytime i hear anyone is a fan of the Dandy Warhols i know they haven't seen Dig, when someone is a BJM fan you know they have...kingsteven
- there is a DIG! XX coming soon too with 40 mins extra footageGardener
- Its a shame that people know BJM for Anton's surrealist drama (and the fans lap it up like a soap opera). They have several incredible albums.kingsteven
- I met Courtney Taylor before a Radiohead concert in 2001 and sat a talked to him for a bit. My gf asked him "Don't you think RH is the best band in the world".fooler
- He replied No,The Brian Jonestown Massacre is. I had only listened to Strung Out in Heaven at the time but said I loved that and practically the song "Jennifer"fooler
- My girlfriends name. A few years later I interview the director for a website I was working for. I only remember her saying it started out as a doc about the SFfooler
- Music scene and involved a lot more bands but she ended up focusing on BJM and the Dandys for obvious reasons.fooler
- Radiohead is the best band in the world thoughnb
- Yeah, At the time they were.fooler
- Or maybe Bachman Turner Overdrivenb

- Or maybe I’ll try the small mouse trap in my pocket and record that shit.HijoDMaite
- It's like a western, shot in Abruzzo. Superb (slow) cinematography and limited dialogue. An Anton Corbijn film (he did much work with Depeche Mode).BustySaintClaire
- Yes I’ve heard it called “slow cinema”HijoDMaite
- if you're in firenze, and like renaissance art, and want to escape the crowds: brancacci chapel.hans_glib

- For USA audience only, because so dumb for europeans etc.shapesalad
- i dug itYakuZoku
- @shapesalad this european enjoyed it. Why USA only?jagara
- It’s certainly not US only. Super weird thing to say.monospaced
- So usa centric. You couldn’t make that film and locate it in London. Not unless you set it 20 years ago.shapesalad
- If you knew the amount of USA centric entertainment europeans watch. All kids in Copenhagen sound like Californian teenagers...jagara
- Also, watching films not from your culture = problem why?jagara
- Can't stomach rom coms.mort_
- me either but this isn't a rom com, it's so much more and it hits hard with us immigrants in North America_niko

- This is one of my favourite vengeance films. It was intense and utterly stupid in places, but still entertaining as hell!Ianbolton
- It was greatprophetone
- +1 it certainly was. Nicole Kidman was the odd part for me.MrT
- 7/10 for me I think, good but not amazing. And I agree, interesting/odd role for Kidman.BuddhaHat
- Great visuals, but the story was meh as fuck and the accent was annoying. A tad too long as well. The Revenant was much more digestible.babydick_
- I liked it, second half of if way more than the first. A good Inigo Montoya flick, but had some silly moments as well. Visually top notch.rzu-rzu
