I don't mean to be rude, and I concede the need for development of the overall form, but I was merely warning him from weighing too much the opinions of people, it would appear such as yourself, who favour sterile word forms. Your Trueform and Wellspace logotypes are exactly not what kite surfers would want to be about.
Don't get me wrong - I'm saying this because I blundered here years ago, trying to corporatise work for the legal high industry.
It doesn't fit.
- btw, i'm not critting your work - just considering it out of context.detritus
- no offence taken mate. i work for awfully boring clients and i'm not suggesting to use helvetica... again!maikel

Thanks guys, is crazy how all this flows... But I always appreciate the random QBN critics. As it was mentioned before, the idea for destroy was because last night I found myself creating a clipart and not a logo... thanks for the input.

I like where you're going with it, and as Detritus has said it seems quite on target for the demographic.
Kite surfing/extreme sports brands like to stand out as an art piece and not a letterhead. With some work on it this could make a great piece to stick on a board or bumper sticker/decal thing.
I think the type doesn't stand out that well and you could tweak it and enlarge it so it fills more of the centre.
The 2 objects that are just line work without fill aren't even noticeable - Delete them and see what the "AKS" looks like if you make it big enough to fill that void.
Maybe try it with the AKS fitting snuggly inside the circular kind of shape of the whole logo, and then try and make it break out the sides and see how it looks.
It looks very surf, which is good.
When people say it won't work as a logo, I'd disagree, simply because the imagery that goes with the type of brand tends not to be a neatly trimmed, well aligned placement job. These logos are big and slapped on things and shout on top of the product rather than fitting neatly like a jigsaw piece.

hey let's not go crazy about the whole thing! i'm a shite designer, but my clients are happy (or went busted) !
brand-wise, i'd say that if you check rip curl, billabong ad reef you'll see that all of them have a solid corporate-like branding, and then they go crazy on the way it's implemented in boards, fashion lines, etc. billabong use many illustration-like typefaces, but they do not put that on the invoices, for a say... OR in the wetsuits
