Can anyone give me a rough estimate / proposal for a full reworking on an internal Fortune100 company website? About 200+pages of information, sky is the limit - web development wise, what are we looking at?

- Exploration
- Graphic Design
- Programming
- CMS
- DeploymentI have a number in my head but want to propose a figure that is reasonable / accurate.

Is there an estimate of actual hours the project may take?
You say thinks like 'Research'. Well depending on what you are researching it could be 2 hours, it could be 20 hours. How can we offer anything without some actual info?How much experience do you have? Any outsourcing? Other contractors? Any legal requirements dealing with such a large company? Do you have/need liability insurance?
Do you want hourly or day rates, or are you looking at the whole project? Are you estimating only or providing a committed project cost?

200 hours programmingI would really just love pricing strategy advice for this level, better than...your costs + your profit = hourly rate.
I wish someone had ideas on what other fortune 500's were paying for things. Or how much large campaigns went for. You can get that information for marketing campaigns, but im having a hard time finding them for actual web development projects.

50 hours design and IA for a site with that amount of info is not enough, that I know from experience. I don't know much about programming but I think that's also not enough...
What do you mean with "exploration"?
Don't you want to add a Project Management fee? Normally we add at least 10% of the total time for this and you really need that.
A good advice: the client always has a rought budget in mind, just ask for it. It saves you a lot of trouble if you know this up front. Then you can already decide how many you want to put in it.
Also, if the client gives you a budget, always ask for more. The won't tell you how much they really have, the will tell you the minimum budget.

great advice. I will defiantly keep that at mind.I will be working with another firm, that will be handling the PM and some content work.
Exploration would be time spent, developing an actual plan, coming up with preliminary designs, spec sheets, functional spec documents etc.
Q: if im not putting you on the hot seat, where would u put the hourly requirements?
