i like fruitiger and charter, but i think it looks weird that you have the first paragraph and the title in frutiger. i don't speak/read german so i really have no idea what it says and/if that makes sense.

yeah, they're like from the schoolbook... which is ok. i have to use the frutiger, so i probably make some comps with Adrian Frutiger Fonts: http://www.linotype.com/de/18617… but still, i can't let a Frutiger look cool, can i?

- I feel like this is leaving out a lot of text faces that are much better than the ones on the list.Countryman
- that's the very basics, these combos just workpascii
- also the fact that the text and display faces are exactly the same seems like a bad way to set up the matrix. I would add more display only faces in the display and text only faces in the text.Countryman

afre there any good examples with 'modern' typefaces like neutra, or Akzidenz Grotesque. The NeoSans one is the only modern one i could find out

ag is not exactly modern. do you mean more modernist grotesque typefaces? or typefaces designed in the last 10 years or so?

i completely lost track in the last years, so i must put it this way:
i would love to see some old modernist bauhaus fonts in a new combination and some new lights on the horizon to enlighten my typo skills

there aren't that many "bauhaus" fonts especially in the grotesque category. It sounds like your generalizing half a century of sans serif fonts into the "bauhaus" category. Most grotesque typefaces either came out long before the bauhaus or were designed in another part of the world all together

Don't mix Neo and Officina Sans. Echt jetzt.
If you want something bauhausy, you can try Chalet by House.

I like the Frutiger and Charter the most because they kindof work well together, Actually, you may want to explore more pairings. I also like the Neo and Officina but the shapes of the letterforms are very close to each other. Why not just use all Neo instead of mixing the two.
