He was offered a deal for pleading guilty, so he admitted guilt.
He ran away when the judge was trying to screw him.- literally?
still, what a chumpjuhls - No matter what, you're having sexual relations with a minor.juhls
- I don't actually, but I think US 18 years census is sick. In the old days people would have sex when they grew up.raf
- Yes, sometimes 13. I'm not saying this should be age of consent, but in the South kids grow up faster.raf
- It is 12 in many parts of Mexico (excluding rape of course). Does that mean we are more civilized or departed from nature?raf

- raf, the age of consent here is 14. And of course I didn't mean "you" :)juhls
- Even if she was pressuring him or her mother wanted her to, it's no excuse for him to get involved with her that wayjuhls

Seems odd they would let him chill for 30 years and then decide to go after him.

They forgot about him, only last year he applied for the case to be reviewed. They didn't agree for him to testify remotely and he wasn't keen on coming back just to be jailed for life.
That's how they got triggered I suppose.

Interview Polanski gave to the novelist Martin Amis in 1979, the year after Polanski went on the run.
The interview originally appeared in Tatler and is collected in Amis’s Visiting Mrs. Nabokov.
Quote:
“If I had killed somebody, it wouldn’t have had so much appeal to the press, you see? But... f—ing, you see, and the young girls. Judges want to f— young girls. Juries want to f— young girls. Everyone wants to f— young girls!”
Later in the interview, Polanski says he likes Paris, to which he’d fled, because it’s “very grown-up”.
