Just used my parents Wii for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I'm hooked. I've bought my own and I'm feeling psyched about a new workout routine for the first time in years.
I can't really cause of my knees, so the QBN Nike + Challenges are out for me...
Who's in for some Wii Fit challenges. Top scores and accumulated times. Someone's bound to have better ideas but who's in???

no one???

I own a ps3 & I'm a skinny runt. So count me out.

Hey I'm 170cm (5'7" same as Bruce Lee) and 70kg. I need a challenge to help me get my fitness high enough to last a black belt grading where I'll have to spa much bigger and taller 3rd Dans and above.

Can someone please delete this thread.
It's retarded that I even started this in the first place.

I use the Wii fit every day. What did you have in mind? For me its more a way to track my progress and do yoga on top of the other activities that I do. I'm not sure how we could turn this into a bigger thing but I'm open to suggestions.
- Cool, I'm not sure yet as I've just got into it. Cracked 500 on the soccer heading though.Amicus

Anyone beat 500 in soccer heading or 29.86 seconds in slalom?

I'm in... even reincarn8d people like Wii Fit. ;)

for the cost of a wii, couldn't you have like a 3 year gym membership?
- Amicus0
maybe, but this is one way to get my kids moving, and my partner uses it too. Plus, it's more fun than lifting weights.

I recommend downloading "World of Goo" from the shop. It seems really easy at first, but it's so addicting.
- < love this. actually laughed at it's humour - which is rare for video games.quamb
- its , not it's.quamb
- You sure about that? Thinking "it's" as in "it is."BrandNewly
- ...Oh, wait. I just realized you were correcting yourself, and not me. Ha ha ha.BrandNewly

Wii was build for girls and kids
- And every other video game system was built for nerds who live with their parents.BrandNewly

definitely worth it domacle
the competition factor gets you motivated to keep going when you'd otherwise give up, sit down on the couch and gain a few pounds/kilos....

Nice, I'll contribute to this. What if we add each other to our friend list? I've got a Wii Fit, but the missus' uses it. I've never tried except for Skate It. I'll fire up Wii Fit and see what it's about.

I haven't even tried to get mine online... maybe I should.

you guys know that depending your age, if you want to improve your fitness/cardio, your heart must beat, at least at 150bpm for a minimum of 15 minutes ?
when I do my cardio I get up to 180-185 bpm
but it really depend on how old you are, the younger you are, the faster your heart needs to beat.
- if the game is not able to get you there, it will be way more difficult to lose weight/gain fitness & cardioelektro

180-185 is a bit high. You should be careful.
- Mine was that high and my trainer got concerned. It was stress. Fired the client in question and boom, normal range again.ETM
- at 20 years old I think my heart can take itelektro
- range again (150-160s) within 3 days.ETM
- Its not that you can take it. Its why that its that high doing WiiFit at all.ETM
- oh haha, i'm doing that on a stationary bike, not WiiFitelektro
- Amicus0
elektro - that isn't quite true. Raising the heart rate too high will kill you.
There are also many different types of fitness. You could run, or lift weights all day and not be flexible for example, or you could have no core strength and terrible posture while still being flexible.
Also, my heart rate would rarely get to 150bpm, but I can do 4 hours of karate in a session. Would you consider that fit?
- i'm young ffs, if sometime i fell bad i'll stop, but that never happened. whatever i do it gets up to 180elektro
- And I start calculating 15 minutes at 150 bpm. so usually after 20 minutes i'm done with the cardio.elektro
- stress to the heart can cause long term damage.... be careful young man.Amicus
- And you're right .. i'm 6ft3 and i can't reach my feets. i'm not flexible, but my heart is goodelektro
