Wow, I think you've stumbled upon something very significant there. Its like its been staring us all in the face all along. How did you manage to see what we have thus far failed to see?

because their faith allows them to throw away their power of reason.

Archeologists are all full of themselves but all they ever find is some broken old shit nobody wants. I have never heard of an archeologist finding something anyone would actually want. Fuck them. I don't want old cups made of mud.

The whole non-literal interpretation thing is what really makes ME wonder. As if it's not a direct response to the hard evidence available, it's grasping for straws, and reforming of concept to fit reality. The world was once flat, and you would have been called a heretic for believing otherwise, the non-literal interpretations are a result of contemporary thinking. I promise you, the 7 days thing was FACT to a majority of Christians before science kicked in.
- I'm interested in reading up on this—what's the source for your last claim?ChankD

Kind of like how the Mormon leader received a "message from God" in the late 70s telling them it was now OK to treat non-whites equally.
Or, as they put it, "the curse" was removed from black people by God because he had forgiven them.
What a crock of shit. The same people who pretend that their (completely arbitrary) moral laws come from God will easily do a 180 on those views as soon as they become unacceptable in society.

pretty much the same formula for any religion except theres no way to verify claims of messages from a god that happened 2-4 thousand years ago.
