If he's the photographer, how does he appear in his shot? What % of "his photos" are taken by him?

I'll bet he's a pervert, disturbed, and "encouraged" plenty of questionable activities. Many in his position do, just part of the dynamics.
That said, I still find it all questionable. He's shot hundred's of celebrities, probably thousands of women, and there are a handful of models (that are not famous, perhaps bitter) that are making accusations...years after the incidents....without any reports filed with the police (none that I have heard about).
That article just posted from NY Magazine is a good read. Unbiased and gives his entire history (I don't like his work, but every time I read a piece of his bio I get more respect for him).
I am just hesitant to jump on Jezebel's self promotion (the amount of times I've seen their "articles" reposted on TR is amazing, the traffic they must be getting...) and condemn someone w/o an ounce of proof. They guys a creep, crazy pervert, but so are many 'artists' (I recall looking through Jeff Koon's book at the Guggenheim...with my folks and sisters....and it being him having anal sex in a billion positions...talk about perverted ego!).
Also, being super famous and making $64 million a year you'd think there would be plenty of "models" offering blow jobs. I know photogs that have sex w/ their models and they make $30k!
[I am not trying to defend him, just not convict based off of a few letters from girls that no one knows who/what they are - they got their 15 minutes and we all know what people will do for that.

- i am not sure going public about being sexually abused is the same thing as 15 minutes of fame...scruffics

What Terry Richardson Tells Me About the Grey Line of Consent "I do not think that Terry Richardson is a criminal, any more than I think that the number of nice young men who’ve subjected me to less than consensual sexual acts deserve to be in jail. I think that Terry Richardson is a powerful man who benefits from a system that privileges protecting the reputations of men over promoting the safety of women, even young women far too vulnerable to truly advocate for themselves. We have this idea of rape, or sexual assault if you prefer, as a black and white sort of transgression involving an evil, cartoonish villain who defiles an innocent waif. We have this idea of rape, or sexual assault, as something that is incredibly clear in the moment, of something you know when you see it, of something that isn’t tangled up in all the vagaries and grey areas of every day life: as though rape, alone and by itself, manages to be the one thing in life that’s a very clear matter of right and wrong."

What Terry Richardson Tells Me About the Grey Line of Consent
From article:

This is retarded.
He didn't rape anyone.
These people aren't "victims".
We need to quit treating grown adults like children incapable of making choices for themselves. This entire extended adolescence, "you're-not-really-an-adult-unti... mindset is fucking purile and dragging us all down.

^if someone uses his authority statut on someone to drive him/her into having sex, it's rape, no matter how old your victim is.

- Rape never had an age.omahadesigns
- "authority status" covers a lot of ground...athletes, executives, police, etc., etc....is that your point??formed

Sounds fair...men commenting on how women feel when they are intimidated.

So his talents are capturing "real" moments? Doesn't that mean he's just a good hype man or whatever?
I can understand fashion companies wanting to hire someone known for racy photos, but why would a mainstream magazine ever hire him?
- Have you read his bio?formed
- his bio is of what he captures, not how.omahadesigns

He created a unique image shooting fashion. Over a long, long time that caught on and he got big time gigs.
You could compare it to Duchamp's urinal on the wall. It was a statement that turned into a brand. From what I've read, people also enjoyed shooting with him. I don't like his work, but I appreciate his accomplishments.
Obviously magazines and fashion like(d) him, he shot everyone for GQ, Vanity Fair, Vogue, etc., etc. Someone also likes to pay him, making $54-64 million last year alone isn't "amateur hour".
I am not defending him, I don't know him nor do I know anyone that knows him (or anyone that worked with him). But I've read a fair amount, both the accusations that are posted over and over (though I've still only seen a few) and his bio (that NYMag is a good read).
I'll leave it up to law to convict someone. He's not been charged, let alone convicted.
I am surprised that anyone on here would jump to call him a "rapist" w/o even knowing his story (or any story, just some social media headlines). Social media and momentum can be a horrible thing (thinking of Bergdahl being "convicted" by social media as a traitor when no one knows anything).
God knows I don't know anything. Nor does anyone else here. That's my point.
What I do know is some blogs have capitalized on the hype and momentum.
