I'm surprised so many people here do such heavy workouts. Good to know :D
Invalid - really? on the 6 vs 3 times a day eating? I eat all the time as I'm just hungry all the time. I can't really imagine eating only 3 times a day. I thought it was a natural thing that when you eat more smaller meals your metabolism will speed up... and eating 1 meal a day, it will slow down. Seems like that's what you see on crash dieting. Although I guess the easy rule of thumb is eat good food when you're hungry. I don't know the actual scientific reasearch, more magazines and word of mouth.

Started P90X 4 weeks ago and my body is sore as shit. If anybody is looking to get in shape and have the will to train 6 days a week for 90 days, I suggest you try this program. I was nervous that it wouldn't live up to the hype but I'm going on my 4th week and glad to say I made a smart decision.

lotta good tips. I have seen designers before. It wouldn't surprise me if most looked like this...

I do P90X, been doing it for a couple of years now but moved up to P90X Plus and Insanity (all from the same maker, Beachbody). I do it every morning, I may miss 1 or 2 days a month. I actually enjoy it and look forward to working out now. I've done P90X so much now that I know what people are going to say before they say it. If you want to step it up, do Insanity. It's just straight max interval training (you're basically going as fast as you can go for 45 minutes. If you can speak you're not doing it fast enough). My heart rate goes up to 180 - 190 bpm for an entire 40 minutes, non stop. It makes the plyo routine in P90X feel like a break. Now I go back and forth between all of them. I feel like I'm in my early 20's again.

I can't be bothered with paying for the gym, I do enough cycling and kiteboarding to keep me fit, but in terms of bulking/toning up a bit for the ladies at home, anyone know a good place to go for advice on this? Youtube videos or blogs or anything?
I have free wieghts and resistance bands but am only really going on common sense in terms of a routine...

i bike 150-200 miles a week. i would never want to go to a gym, they seem so stuffy and smelly. i'd rather be outdoors.
