I'd like to see more random dildos make an appearance. You know, like you mouse over a link, and a pink dildo suddenly makes an impromptu appearance in the bottom right corner and says, "Please stop poking me"

Funny, I was just about to mention suction cup dongs. Like if you click somewhere random a dong gets suction-cupped onto that place in the site.
- same principle you like-minded bastardimavery
- suction cup dongs sounds like a new pluginroundabout

surely the design will have to consider content much more now. There's so many different draws on ones attention that my guess is that we'll see better designs working with the content.
I really have reached a point where I no longer visit a site for the design (as I may have done a few years back and been wow'ed) now I really do need quality content and possibly also interaction/community with others so something where the content is relevant, current and customised to my needs.
I predict that designs will look at how to present these concepts - maybe using rounded borders, drop shadows and relfections. I dunno.

lots of web designers quitting because the forum for creativity has been narrowed by corporate structuring around the industry.

"—Ability to turn off advertising elements and unwanted elements like twitter feeds etc."
I'll believe it when I see it. Although I won't see it either way because of using an adblock...

companies that suck at webdesign get banned of the internet.
