no, you ipod starts to show a little graphic on the screen saying that its about to die, and I used like 5 times I think (about 5k each time) before it finally died.
I don't remember exactly how the icon looked like but it was something unusual on the screen, maybe red with some sort of % level that keeps coming down on every run, so if you don't see that you should be fine.
Also, you can order sensors separate, you dont need to buy the entire kit, I think its a few dollars cheaper from nike+.com
(I saw a video on youtube that showed how to replace the battery on it as well, I think you needed a knife or something like that
- interesting. Good to know the sensor can be purchased separately. Thanks meeklo. btw, I still don't get battery warnings.VectorMasked
- by that I meant no icons of any kind have appeared.VectorMasked

Dammit!
Yesterday I recalibrated my sensor and everything seemed alright.
I then ran a little and the sensor read my run as close to half my speed and distance. This blows. I'll have to try recalibrating it tomorrow again.Could this be a sign that the sensor is in its last days? It's given my 900km of life, which is pretty good.
- it should tell you on your ipod if the sensor is dying, I'm already on my 2nd sensorMeeklo

i ain't signing up to no nike marketing shit giving them money and decking my'sen out as a walking nike advert. Fuck that business.
I already got enough gear gadgets and gizmos. I'll just update my log manually and score a moral victory when i kick all your arses. werd

Flutter, I have the same problem. I think its just the humidity.
I sometimes had this issue even at gym with the previous version of the nano (the 3rd generation).Just 10 days, I bought a brand new nano, which is the new nano (4th generation), and the problem is even more prominent on this one.
Seems to me that the newer nano has a less responsive wheel. I even have to fight with the center button for like 30 seconds just to get voice let me know the time, distance and speed. I never had this many difficulties with the previous nano.
It was truly annoying at first, but I am getting used to it.
Flutter, try this... before you go out for your next run, press the center button and the menu button for about 10 seconds (until the nano restarts). Once it restarts, you are ready to use it.
I noticed with the previous nano that if I did this, the nano would work more smoothly. So basically whenever you feel the nano it's getting slow or less responsive, try the 10-second fix. Just don't do it during your run or before you save your workout.- <- me no speak engrish.
me wake up just now. me sleepy still. me bad grammar in the mornings.VectorMasked

I hurt my foot a few weeks ago, so I stopped running, its been like 2 weeks and the pain went away in like 3 days, this morning I go for a run and before I reached 1km it started hurting again.
I been using this running shoes for a year, I'm starting to think that maybe it could be that? I heard you are supposed to change them every 6 months, but to be honest I dont see the sole inclined or anything like that.
thoughts?
- * these running shoesMeeklo
- you're supposed to change shoes every 400 miles or somcLeod
- do you do that?Meeklo
- yeah meekle. I also had pain with my old shoes. Once da pain started after 300km I got new ones and da pain was goneVectorMasked
- Even if the shoes still look like new, like mine did, da cushioning is not da same n' it hurts your knees, ankles n' backVectorMasked
- thanks man, I'm shopping for new shoes now then,Meeklo
- yes also try taking some advil 30 min before your run and ice it down afterward. The shoes should make a big difference though. I heart my asicsflutter

I logged a bit over 10k this morning, I think trying to switch music tracks on a stop light I hit end work out, and then start right away so on my ipod it reads like 1 run, but the voice counted as it was just a pause on the same run, but it logged as 2 different runs..

Hey guys, I'm back and ready for C8. Count me in. I'm finally better, and I'm logging miles again, not as many as before, but that just because I started 3 wks ago. Give me a little time and I'll be back logging my 100+ Miles (160 Km) months again.

I have a pouch which straps to the front of my shoe. I have found this to be accurate within 0.2 kms. I do not see the difference between on your laces or under your foot surely it cannot be that different?
Nike sensor is around £15 and a sportband is £40 ish. If you already have an ipod it is cheaper
- Meeklo0
yea who is flutter? man that chick is going to kill us all
