i ain't signing up to no nike marketing shit giving them money and decking my'sen out as a walking nike advert. Fuck that business.
...................................Hey buddy, you don't need to be a nike advert at all. in fact the only nike thing you need is the little sensor and either it goes inside the shoe (of your assics/ new balance/ etc if you make a hole in it) or outside it like shown here:
so if being a "nike advert" was your only concern, well then we got that out of the way already, I used the pouch on top of another running shoe and now I have the actual nike shoe, and it works EXACTLY THE SAME, I always do the same route and I know exactly the point the ipod tells me "you have completed 1km".
On the other hand, the software used for tracking runs, is amazing.
I'm not sure if you are a designer but if you are you will appreciate its functionality and ease of use, and on top of that it looks amazing.

I'm starting up with my other groups March 20th, so I'm down for #8.
Still the worst to have on your team as I run short distances, haha.

I have a pouch which straps to the front of my shoe. I have found this to be accurate within 0.2 kms. I do not see the difference between on your laces or under your foot surely it cannot be that different?
Nike sensor is around £15 and a sportband is £40 ish. If you already have an ipod it is cheaper

Hey guys, I'm back and ready for C8. Count me in. I'm finally better, and I'm logging miles again, not as many as before, but that just because I started 3 wks ago. Give me a little time and I'll be back logging my 100+ Miles (160 Km) months again.

I already got enough gear gadgets and gizmos. I'll just update my log manually and score a moral victory when i kick all your arses. werd

Khurram,
To be more accurate, you need the Nike+ sensor (about $30 us)
Some shoes (preferably nike+ running shoes because they have a tiny hole in the sole where the sensor is placed. Other brands can work but they can't be as accurate since the sensor has to be placed in between your shoelaces or something). Def nike+ is the way to go for shoes for this.
You will also need either a ipod nano or a nike+ sportband.

Sweet. I'm on it. Lemme know when the next challenge is underway.
thanks Alistair.

No money to register.
You have a sensor in/on your shoe and a wristband/ipod (depends how posh you are). The sensor and wristband relationship detects every stride, you then plug it straight into your computer and a little app loads up and updates web stats.Track progress over the run, pace, distance, calories and compare to other runs and enter challenges.
There are some minus points but nothing too serious.
It is very good and really does help you to progress.

Do you have to pay money to register? And how does it measure how far you're run? Do you have to buy a pedometer? I already got one and i'm already signed up to another fitness tracking website thingmy.
thanks, would be interested in doing this..

Yes you have to register account. It is a great online tool.
Challenge 8 has not yet begun Kuz. When that starts just sign up
- Khurram0
Do you have to sign up to nike plus to take part in this?

So, Individuals & Odds vs Evens again?
Looks rather even this time. Could work out just fine.
