- Film. I have an M6TTL .85JG_LB
- why not?sikma
- Very nice.JSK
- Shooting a DSLR vs an RF is like riding a loud ass Hummer instead of a hovercraft through a cemetery.JG_LB
- If I would've pulled out my 50D in either of these situations, the subjects would have noticed and the moment would have been disrupted.JG_LB

Thats quite interesting. The ability to change sensor.
But this is Leica, sending it to have the sensor changed will take 6-9 months and cost 25% of the camera.Upgrading is already very pricey.
M8 upgrade to M8.2 (limited)

^ Yeah, obviously its not a great solution, but the camera is likely to outlast any sensor. Hotswitching sensors is the best way forward for digital photography. It wasn't easy switching up in my RD1 I had to send it to some bloke in Germany who is the unspoken authority on servicing and repairing Leica. There is a lot of talk about hotswitching being the next revolution in digital photography and I think if Leica did an M9 with this capability... it would be killer.

Yes I would agree, for Leica I think it is ideal since it's price point is a lot higher. For Canon / Nikon, they would prefer selling bodies.
I think if they had hotswitch, I would get Leica. But still not sure how I trust Leica's electronic component reliability (M7 is still not at it's best)
- Thats where my RD1 triumphs as it is almost entirely a mechanical camera. I even have to manually cock the shutter.Horp

- I really like the RD-1. It's a great camera.pylon
- I wish I had an RD1JG_LB
- I love it. Hardly ever get to use it but I hope to change that this year.Horp
- Let me know if you're ever interested in sellingJG_LB

change sensors?!? ffs
- Yeah, not great I know, but I did it, and it is a future development for pro-cameras.Horp
- changing sensors is the very very very very very last thing that any pro needs to worry aboutsikma
- hey you're spooky! hi spooky!sikma
- isn't there a lot of fine tuning that goes into the interaction between sensors and other electronics?magnificent_ruin
- Yes loads. Hardly any compatibility between any!... which is why I had to have the Kodak to upgrade from the 6mp one.Horp
- Hi Sikma!!!!
