LOL - yeah he can be a proper tool at times. He's out on a 'golfing' day today... *sigh*
I'm moving on myself, the GF is out in Perth (Australia) and I'm heading on over on Nov 4th. Going for 6 months in Australia, 6 months in New Zealand and then onto Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia for as long as funds hold out.
My Mk1 is Silver - long story behind it (was my first car) and was probably the reason I split with my Fiancé... Women don't understand the bond a man gets with his car (cue pictures of guy shafting a car up the tailpipe).
Suffice to say it's not an everyday car, 380bhp in a 30 year old Ford is pant soiling and I don't have enough pants to change them everyday.
If people are interested i'll post a pic.
- 380brake! nevermind a pic of the car - i want to see the engine bay!23kon

I'd LOVE to see pix of that holyroller mate. And if you're selling it to travel, or just want someone to babysit it until you get back, you just let me know!!!!!

I'll post a few pics tomorrow AM when your all around.

...for only $25,000!
(assembly and parts not included)
what does that even mean? what the fuck DO you get for $25k then?

For Tim and 23kon:
I won't be selling ti when I go on my travels, it'll stay in my Parents garage (I don't have one) until I come back. I couldn't part with it after all the blood and sweat (literally) that I've put into it. Oh and that is the radiator right up front - the Turbo is so big, the radiator no longer fits in the engine bay.

Farkin' hell, thats some motor! I'm mighty impressed.
Like I said yesterday, I do prefer the less angularness of the Mrk2 but I have to say - yours looks sweet, esp with the colourcoded bodykit.

Good work man, I am going to take some pics of my ride tonight, then I'll take some pictures of my car and post them yo!.

MSL, That is a stunning stunning piece of kit. I don't blame you for keeping hold of it. I also don;t blame you for not letting me babysit it for you while you're away... it would surely come to a sticky end up a tree trunk somehwere.
Awesome Car. I am massively jealous.
Is it purely for street or did you ever do track days?

Black hides my welding better!
It's ok to drive on the roads off boost, but I wouldn't put my foot down on anywhere unless I had a good open road.
Not many people want to be a passenger in it due to the 3 fuel pumps and 50 litre fuel cell right behind the seats.
The GF went out once in it with me and since then she has never been in it.

he he I took my lady out for a hell ride once!!, I had to pull over for her to be sick :'(
- chossy0
how much was the conversion by the way, must have been at least £5000 whammys
- MSL0
I reckon you could double that for the engine bay alone. It has taken me 8 years to get it to that state though - so over the years its not too bad, but all in one hit - it looks like I am completely insane.
Oh and i hooked out the dyno graph, its 369bhp and 390ft/lbs of torque.
The best bit is scaring small children, animals and old ladies with the antilag :) I never get tired of it!

I used to have an XR3i was great fun. Bit of estate agents car I suppose, but I liked the speed - that was in the 80s.

MSL - Can you put more pics up, please?

It's a very subtle, considered modification of a classic car. You must be a designer!?
Muchos respect.
