This story really shows the depths to which Trump and his supporters are willing to sink to.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/n…

Project Veritas, an organization partly funded by Trump, sends a fake rape accuser to the Washington Post to try to trick them into publishing a made up story and discredit actual accusers of a Republican candidate.

It's amazing how these people who pretend to be "social conservatives" just have no morals and standards at all.

Casting Wall Street as Victim, Trump Leads Deregulatory Charge

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/…

Most noticeably, there’s been a dramatic change in tone from the White House. This weekend, Mr. Trump wrote in a Twitter post that regulators, in particular the consumer bureau, have left the financial industry “devastated and unable to properly serve the public.”

It was a rare instance of a politician casting Wall Street as a victim — especially since the banking industry is on a roll. Commercial banks last year generated $157 billion in profits, the highest level ever, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Banks are making lots of loans. Their stock prices have been marching ever higher.

    • It will be interesting to see how many days it takes to go from Wall street is "devastated" to full on crisis.R_Kercz

how can you really call an american politician corrupt? a politician is nothing more than an individual seeking prosperity, wealth, and personal success/power/fame (which is a vital part of the individual american dream but really looked down upon in politics) who is then asked to put all of those individual qualities/desires away in order to become a political representative? seems irrational..

how can you really call corporate intrusion into government corruption? a politician is not necessarily a trained professional in the industry it is regulating and when asked to make up rules for an industry it needs to work closely with the corporations to make up those rules. as well, a government feeds off of corporate tax just to exist so they basically work together to co-exist.

as well. in most cases the government is really just the organization that takes care of forcibly collecting the money to provide 'services' by which it then contracts out to private industry/corporations to actually do these services. thus again legally enabling the playing field for personal wealth to be obtained and tightly coupling the corporate-government relationship

at the end of the day the system is inherently corrupt in its natural state with no plans to fix. all everybody screams about is stopping campaign contributions.. but aren't campaign contributions really just a way for corporations to increase their chances of getting chosen for a bid/contract that was going to be given to some corporation anyway?

is all anyone ever gonna do is sit around and just say government is corrupt without identifying the hopeless nature of it all? i think its time for humanity to start considering major historical changes to their way of life without being so absurdly naive and psychotic (which is to repeat same process/action but expect different results)

Oh the irony of lying hypocrite Mitch McConnell calling out Pelosi and Schumer for not showing up to discuss the tax plan.

I seem to recall, maybe, just maybe, upon Obama's election, Mitch McConnell saying in as many words that his primary goal was to prevent Obama from accomplishing anything, and to make him a one-term president.

And we all know for a fact that McConnell obstructed Obama at numerous opportunities, not the least of which was refusing to even hold hearings on Obama's final supreme court nominee when Obama had more than 1 1/2 years left in his presidency.

    So, yeah, piss off Mitch.

#11: UNDEAD JOHN RITTER GOES APESHIT ON A VIOLIN WITH TITS

A beautiful and refreshing look at a budding concert virtuoso; I am forced to assume this musician is an undead and somewhat pudgy John Ritter, who has decided to entertain and horrify all of the world by slamming a bow against a humanoid violin. If only Ben Garrison had labeled the name of the man on this drawing, then we would all be able to know who he's supposed to represent. The violin has boobs, a neck, and head because it is obviously the victim of a curse by a vindictive, evil wizard who one day caught a woman snooping around his band equipment and he said "hey stop it" but the woman didn't hear him because she was on her cellphone or whatever, so he put a spell on her to transform 3/4ths of her body into a bendy violin. Perhaps the wizard had been robotripping or something, and afterwards he looked down at this woman-violin hybrid violation of nature, put his hands up to cover his face, and mumbled, "I think I am ready to admit I have a substance abuse problem."

The song Dead Ritter is bowing all up happens to be a crowd favorite, "HOW TO PLAY THE MSM." This was written, naturally, by Alex Jones, who often plays the mainstream media by looking disheveled, obese, sweaty, drunk, perhaps also high, VERY drunk, and in a perpetual fugue state. Somehow that's a trick or something? I really don't know how Infowars works, or how they even obtained the power to cause John Ritter to rise from his grave. According to the notes floating above the shevolin, Dead Ritter isn't even playing the correct song, as none of the notes match, which explains his weird Parkinson's hands and the fact he's not even looking at the sheet music. You're a real arrogant bastard, Dead Ritter, and I hope you go on to die several more times.

    #1: STRONGMAN TRUMP THE PLUMBER

Don "The Plumber" Trump has taken it upon himself to get all formally dressed up so he can fix the living, human, weeping Cronenberg plumbing system that doesn't really seem to have any logical layout or purpose. Some of the pipes have names such as "The New York Times," perhaps to infer that in Trump's America, newspapers are delivered through pneumatic tube systems such as the notices in The Hudsucker Proxy.

The various weeping severed heads seem extremely depressed, perhaps because they are severed heads impaled with pipes in a basement, being attacked by a burly constipated man. President Trump is tightening a pipe with his patented Eagle Wrench, which appears to be alive and terribly angry, clearly from the inherent pain of its own existence. The tube on the top right is labeled "spying," so perhaps there's a sink in the White House which offers cold water, hot water, and spying. I don't know how that works.

Top tax economist says the GOP bill is 'crazy' and 'stupid'

Martin Sullivan, the chief economist at the nonprofit research firm Tax Analysts, says he is normally reserved about policy. But he is making an exception for the tax legislation rapidly moving through the GOP-controlled Senate.

"I'm usually pretty calm about policy — I tend to try and avoid using words like 'crazy' or 'stupid' because I'm a pretty even-keeled guy, but those words apply here," Sullivan told Business Insider on Wednesday.

I’m a Depression historian. The GOP tax bill is straight out of 1929.
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/n…

That was more than three decades before the collapse of the economy in 1929. The crash followed a decade of Republican control of the federal government during which trickle-down policies, including massive tax cuts for the rich, produced the greatest concentration of income in the accounts of the richest 0.01 percent at any time between World War I and 2007 (when trickle-down economics, tax cuts for the hyper-rich, and deregulation again resulted in another economic collapse).
