We are a kind lot. Progressive nation, religion does not rear it's head here like it does south of our border.

Cities are clean, safe, and modern.

Web work: look in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa, Calgary

    • Yeah, it's really a rough life down here for an atheist like me. Constant persecution by the clergy, angry villagers, etc.dog_opus

Most interactive work is in Toronto. Outside of that try Montreal, or Van. Possibly Calgary.

A lot of major agencies you probably know of have offices in Toronto, so this would be the first place to look.

Salary varies depending on your skill set, if you're good technically (coding) there is a lot of work.

Lifestyle depends greatly on what part of the country you live in, but if you're an outdoorsy person it's great.

Beer and hockey would be the main reason for moving to Canada.

My uncle is Canadian, from Winnipeg. This year my cousin and her husband are moving to Canada to live there definitely. She loves out there.

    • I'm from Winnipeg but don't live there anymore. I wouldn't recommend it to be honest. But Vancouver, Montreal, or Calgary for sure.eegrek

If you are considering Montreal as a destination to live + work, French will make your life much easier. No French, and you'll eliminate about 60-70% of the job possibilities, even in agencies.

Toronto is big. 5 million + strong, and stretches as far as the eye can see. By far the most Americanized city within our borders. Lots to do, lots to see, where a lot of the work is, but pricey to live in the ares of the city you would want to call home.

Vancouver: amazing city, mild, wet climate, very progressive. Also very pricey to rent or buy housing.

Ottawa: 1 million. Capital. Clean, very safe, can be dull at times, but also much work to be found here. Beautiful city. The tech capital of the country. Many hi-tech firms are headquartered in Ottawa.

    Calgary: rednecks

rednecks and hot girls, sounds like Atlanta to me...utopian22/6
Hey, Craig. Analogue is one of my favourite studios in Ottawa. I hope to work at a place like it in a few years :)Jaline3/6
all the great places in ottawa, like analog, are one man or small team studios that arent likely to hire people for full time jobs.Fanco4/6
Calgary, hot girls?!?! what? I'd put far behind Montreal and Vancouver... girls just try too hard around here.zarkonite5/6
      I know, Fanco, shhhh ;)Jaline6/6

Tomorrow, it's going to be 27 °C without humidex here in Quebec City. So probably more at Montreal. 80°Felektro3/6
It's nearly the same as NY. The weather can be mild, warm, or even hot too, depending on where you live. Just that it gets a bit colder here.Jaline4/6
bit colder over here during the Winter. NY is only 4 hours away.Jaline5/6
Its mid August and Im wearing a jumper here in London. Cant get worst.Kiko6/6
