If you are considering Montreal as a destination to live + work, French will make your life much easier. No French, and you'll eliminate about 60-70% of the job possibilities, even in agencies.
Toronto is big. 5 million + strong, and stretches as far as the eye can see. By far the most Americanized city within our borders. Lots to do, lots to see, where a lot of the work is, but pricey to live in the ares of the city you would want to call home.
Vancouver: amazing city, mild, wet climate, very progressive. Also very pricey to rent or buy housing.
Ottawa: 1 million. Capital. Clean, very safe, can be dull at times, but also much work to be found here. Beautiful city. The tech capital of the country. Many hi-tech firms are headquartered in Ottawa.
Calgary: rednecks
- also Calgary=hot girlslajj
- rednecks and hot girls, sounds like Atlanta to me...utopian2
- Hey, Craig. Analogue is one of my favourite studios in Ottawa. I hope to work at a place like it in a few years :)Jaline
- all the great places in ottawa, like analog, are one man or small team studios that arent likely to hire people for full time jobs.Fanco
- Calgary, hot girls?!?! what? I'd put far behind Montreal and Vancouver... girls just try too hard around here.zarkonite
- I know, Fanco, shhhh ;)Jaline
