"show us your work max_prophet show us your work!!!!"
'cause if a few people think it's any good then your opinion might all of a sudden be valid.... ohhhh please, give me a break I thought this was a forum for discourse, diversity of opinion, not some back slapping of someone we all know might be reading this thread!
I thought it was okay, nothing fantastic, nice skills from MCP, (I certainly couldn't cut a circle out of paper) and I suppose if they were gonna use a current, popular designer then they can't go far wrong with MCP!
- no, but when you come up with such harsh and insulting feedback, you should not hide behind an email adressdyspl
- if everyone had to put his name and full infos, there would be much more respect.
dyspl - This is true, i deliberately don't associate my username with my studio so I can be a complete cuntset

Man this rocked my day.
I have "Build" phases. I'll see some new work and that'll make me want to review all the old work. Not sure what it is about it that sucks me in.

I think some people get me wrong, when I ask for "showing your work" it's not because liking or disliking anyone's work and claiming it.
but read that : "Holy fuck that's embarrassing. I'm sure the cheque was nice though, anal rape costs a lot huh."
or that : ", it's out of date rubbish for backwards wannabe trendwhores and if it's meant to be selling product, well it fails there too. If you're going to rely on style over content, make sure there's some style, and not this played out crap. I'd call this 'braindead' advertising for the braindead. "
that's not feedback nor criticism, it's just hating someone else work.
It's quite easy to act like that hidden behind an anonymous email adress.I have nothing against people who say it's not that good and then explain. but here I don't see anything else than a kid bashing a work, just because he can.
And QBN is a design forum, i don't see what's so weird about showing your work.

really cool to see build in the creation process. nice work.

This is a tv commercial? seems a bit long I fast forwarded to the end of it.
- Does he die in the end?Jnr_Madison
- The lab would make a better TV commercial IMO.canuck

I love it when he signs it, holy shit he fucking signs it.
- gramme0
The commercial is super long because they book-end programs with commercials in western Europe, rather than beating you down with short, back to back commercials every 7–10 minutes as done in the U.S.
At any rate, I thought it was ace, although I have no issue with people thinking and posting otherwise as long as it's done respectfully...

I'm a fan of his and it's a good commercial match-up and interesting to see him working... but I think the final product was a poor representation of his talents.
- kodap0
I want to be payed by pritt to paint a big canvas like that. - no need to tape me .. just the final result.

it beats the David Beckham/sharpie ads fo'sure!

Its interesting when Max was asked politely how he would approach this brief differently, all we got was some bullshit comedic scenario full of obvious cliches! WOW...yeah, great deflective mechanism, but we still didn't get anything remotely intelligent or to the point from you. I only ask this question as usually when someone has such passionate, dare I say aggressive views, most "Creatives" would be brimming with alternative ideas to bring to the table, alas, all we get is a cheap and obvious gag!
I don't think we need to see his work, I think his attitude and overall negative view of the creative industry says it all.Obviously it OK not to like something, there are plenty of stuff that gets linked on here that I don't like, however this is because its not to my taste, not because its crap...there is a big difference, and why would I feel the need to unleash an abusive rant about it, other than trying to attention seek amongst my peers.
I noticed someone added "DULL", next to someones post...Dull, WTF! You mean a sensible opinion made in a design thread on a design forum? If I wanted Fun, I'd call up my fellow human beings ( commonly known as mates) and go to the pub, not sit behind a screen and be abusive to people I've never met.
No...Im not Build, Builds Mum, Builds Gran, Head of Pritt or any other comical derivative, I'm just a regular designer saddened at home QBN has slowly spiraled into a playground for abusive losers!
- rasko has been pissing in peoples cornflakes on here for years. lol @ everyone getting excited about it now.skt
- Perhaps I've just got fucking bored to tears with it!Sane_Six
- How is a film of someone drawing on a wall in a warehouse with a skateboard and professional graffiti cans as props anything but an obvious cliché?max_prophet

I think everyone hates it when a respected figure within the industry sells out a bit and does something like this. But, at least it's relevant.
I can't believe David Beckham is the face of Sharpie - the guy can barely spell his own name.Max Prophet, maybe you should share some of your work with us before criticising others work so dogmatically.
P.S Michael C. Place is a saint

Get the fuck over it you whining pussies, I have no interest nor inclination to be bothered talking politely about what I seriously think about this advert with people who largely, are junior style monkeys and sychophantic wannabes. FYI I happen to like some of build's work though I do find his style to be increasingly played out and lacking freshness, and it is indeniably style over content - something which interests me less and less, so shoot me for having an opinion. I'm not sure exactly how effective having some esoteric British designer draw a picture on a big piece of cardboard for a french audience will be in selling whiteout - I can only assume they are aiming at the student market. Did you people even engage your heads or do you just look at things and go "wheeee pretty pretty!!" ?
You insist on seeing someone's work before they are allowed to have an opinion – take that attitude far enough and you're stepping into that dubious realm where you allow all kinds of awful things to happen in the world because you rely on the opinion of experts, only experts can decide what is good for us and how the world should be. If you're not educated in the field of education, you should have no say in it, same for economics or warfare - is that how you think? Fuck that, all opinions are valid unless you are prepared to debate the value of opinions full stop - that's quite an argument to have.
As if I would even show you any work now – you're all like chickens ready to peck peck peck someone to death.
Also: you're all so easily riled up -this is how I write, big fucking deal.
- Sane_Six0

Well, if you do design you're in the market, otherwise you're an artist.
- I haven't used pritt stick since school. What % of designers use it 'in the market'?babaganush
- obviously you missed the point... or I spell bad.Sequencer
