Really, you're calling me intolerant? I only said I was disappointed. Jesus fucking christ.

Anyways, gramme and I have had this conversation before, probably about two years ago. Conclusion: we respect each other. This time it's between him and the rest of you.

"I am deeply sorry for my actions and offer no excuse for my poor judgment. I accept complete responsibility for my conduct and am prepared to accept the consequences for what I did. I am also truly sorry for the impact this incident will have on those who support and trust me - my family, my constituents, my friends, and my colleagues in the Senate."- i think he was doing undercover investigative workCALLES

"I won't name names, but it hurts to know that people truly fall for the God bullshit" -monospaced
yes, mono, you're right. This is a VERY tolerant statement.
- Yeah, so it bothers me that someone's life is dictated by a book. I didn't attack him.monospaced
- I didn't say I wouldn't tolerate him, you hypocrite.monospaced
- calling someone's beliefs "bullshit" is both intolerant and arrogantlocustsloth
- a more tolerant response would be "i'm disappointed that that's what he believes, but to each his own"locustsloth
- To each his own. Fine. I still don't see logic in faith.monospaced
- that's cause faith requires no logic, just that you believelocustsloth
- My point exactly. If I believe in something it doesn't make it real, and I believe this applies to god.monospaced
- While faith and logic are different, they can coexist without contradicting one another.gramme

"yes, mono, you're right. This is a VERY tolerant statement."
That hinges on the idea of God being a valid argument, which it isn't in any discussion involving critically-thinking.

WHO TURNED THIS THREAD FROM GAY HYPOCRITES TO GOD HATES FAGS,
we can't even separate a simple discussion about fuckn hipocrites getting caught the hand in the bag to always coming to that of god doesn't exist, god hates gay, god is a (insert whatever you want),
FFS GROW UP EVERYONE.- Hahaha. GeorgesII telling us to grow up. Wow.monospaced
- You forgot to blame it all on America, George.DrBombay
- bombay, go back to politic thread, sum wurk is missing you and your fake patriotismGeorgesII
- Death to America!DrBombay

I admit, I do sometimes like discussing stuff for the sake of discussing stuff.

wouldn't it be crazy if gramme's son turned out to be gay?
- Llocustsloth
- I'd still love him.gramme
- but would you send him on a course to be 'fixed' ?lukus_W
- Way to misunderstand everything I've said in this thread (and others).gramme
- And btw we all need to be "fixed." Sin is sin in God's eyes, and we've each got our share of guilt.gramme
- Myself included.gramme
- enough with the "sin" bullshit, you fucking preacher. we're all just HUMAN and we're all just LIVING.iCanHasQBN

Monospaced and bombay, you should stop for once trying to rable rouse,
we're 6 (almost 7) billions people on this goddam rock, you sure won't find people that will agree with you.
I'm just sick of always the same trying to look so impartial and fair when in reality, you're just as biased as everyone else.
- monkeyshine0
Tend to your own garden.
If everyone did this we would all be better for it.

this story has now been posted into 3 different threads
- GeorgesII0
Bombay please don't even go there trying to paint me as a fuckn homophobe,
"What am I biased about, that the gays should have the same rights as the straights?"
----------
this is a thread I posted a year ago about how disgusting some people were, re read the subject and try again,
-why do some people become anti gay because they're too ashamed of coming out of the closet.
the suffering of living a double life, the lies and deceptions and off course the shame of getting caught in your bed by your wife
another thing why are they almost always republicans??
- monospaced0
I can't believe you're calling me out as a rouser in this thread, considering the surplus of ignorant, insensitive statements leading up to the 5th page where I eventually came in. If you knew me at all, and gramme sorta does (through our conversations here) you'd know that I'm very open minded and tolerant and ready for discussion. Yet, I'm as entitled to my opinion (of being disappointed, and not believing in god) as anyone else. That's all.
- if you were as open minded as you pretend, you wouldn't care what other say, in 2010 I still get called a nigger sometimes I don't cry about itGeorgesII
- don't cry about it, I just ignore them and try to go on with my life, not everyone is going to agree with you ever..... so its pointless trying to convert them, live and let liveGeorgesII
- pointless getting angry because someone has a different point of view, live and let live or you will never grow upGeorgesII
- George are you chastising people for arguing on the internet? really?DrBombay
- no I just fuckn hate moral givers like you, you are no better than a goddamm westboro church member,GeorgesII
- You can't question my tolerance just because I get upset by a differing opinion.monospaced
- And your reactions, GeorgesII, don't make you better than me.monospaced
- Wow, you speak your opinion all the time, but somehow that is different?DrBombay
- question moral givers? Did you read the first few pages of this thread?Josev

homophobia stems from a fear of ones own sexuality IMO. i am a gay man and have many straight friends who obviously see me for who i am and not for my sexual preference. I have been together with my partner for 10 months and he has come from a straight marriage of 20 yrs with 3 kids. Obviously a massive step for him, he has been amazed by the support and encouragement he has received from family, friends and work colleagues. NO-ONE (apart from his wife) has treated him any different. even his kids, who are 18, 17 and 14 have excepted him for who he (finally) is.
my point is, is it really an issue anymore? do people really care? apart from these extremist nutters who have obviously something to hide themselves. i have been gay all my life and experienced very little homophobia, but i know people who have. maybe its the world and culture (creative) that i live in...
