Flash ruined my file? 1818 Responses

  I'm working on a simple flash file which had about 7 layers in it.
  I closed it and then opened it up again and now the whole animation sits on 1 single layer. It seems to have lost all my layers. Is this an known issue?

  I've had this problem before, not well documented though. All I was ever really able to do was rollback the file (svn) and start over. Are you working on a network or using any type of version control?

  make sure that you "save and compact" every once in a while. especially if it is a large file being opened often by more than one person.

  Redid it this morning, and it's all ok now, still don't know what happened, saved various versions now so it's backedup now.
  Haven't used flash for ages and the first file I make, packs up.
  Can't believe how crap flash cs3 is, the typographic controls are shit, shouldn't have expected much
