There's nothing stopping anybody else from paying just 24% tax. Capital gains in the US is ~15% so just make sure half your income comes from capital gains... it helps to be rich already when trying to do this.

It's a fair statement to say that our economy is built on the back of the small business. Take a look at the checks those folks are writing. Those are the people putting the money into the system.
Since it likely got lost in the notes, I'll say it again: I wish I paid $600k in taxes and so do you. Don't imply it's a burden to pay half a million when he's earned $2.5. And it's not like that $2.5 is the total package. You think Mr. Cheney is worried about his health care premium?
