That was my commute at my last job with dangerous high speed driving on the interstate. I was really stressed out by the time I got home.
Now thankfully I work 6 miles away at a really cool place. I don't even have to get on the interstate anymore.

my old job was 5 miles away but i had to drive on 695 which is the baltimore beltway... one of the most congested roads in maryland.
current job is farther away (15-20 miles) but i take roads that have virtually no traffic... takes a little longer but less hectic.

Car: 20 minutes (to get to the other side of the city, basically, so it's nice in that respect).
Bus: 40-50 minutes

1 mile drive to the train station (wife takes me, most mornings).
1.25 hours on the train
a couple stops on the subwayIt sound worse than it is. I get a ton of eating/sleeping/video watching done, and I still get home the same time as my last couple jobs.
Other shitty commutes:
at least 1 hour to drive 15 miles
2 hours / 50 mile drive
1.5 hours / 35 mile drive (same job as the previous commute, moving cut out the nice 30 minutes of driving)
30 minute/20 mile drive, then 1 hour on the train
5 minute drive, 45 minutes on the train
30 minute/25 mile drive (up to 1 hour, in traffic)

walking, half an hour (that includes the 500 steps down to get to the gates of hell)
driving, like 7 minutes.

15 seconds to get down the hallway and into the office. Sometimes I get held up by traffic should the dog get in my way or my wife stop me enroute. It can be rather trying,

an hour or so, depending on traffic.

i hop on the train, 30 hour to work, then for whatever reason it is always slower heading home...so 45-50 mins. but, i like to party..or something.
