Seen a lot of sports related threads on here of late.. wondering who the F1 fans were, and what they thought of the upcoming season.. (as there are many international people here... love to hear who they are rooting for..)

- Taken with a holga at the USGP during practice..nicnichols

I can't wait for the season to start for obvious reasons... no traction control and you have people like KR, FA and LH still in it... it's gonna be sick.

I'm thinking of getting back into F1 this year. I lost interest at the BBC/ITV switcheroo but its started to pique my interest mainly becuase I do the odd bit of illustration for the pitside newspaper in-season. When exactly does it begin?

Still a Ferrari fan.. and last season was crazy for a ton of reasons, but ended up pretty well.. my Vote is Kimi.. then Massa, third will be Hamilton...
- don't underestimate alonso, renault have a new trick up their sleeve come oz gp...khan
- ya.. they seem to be sandbagging in testing, he is always a threat...nicnichols
- ha! Just looked back at this.. at least I was right about Kimi!nicnichols

Are they going to allow passing this year?
- w/ No TC, there will be much more overtaking.. into & out of the corners...nicnichols

Italian grandma so Ferrari for me, one of the few sports I don't root for the underdog in.

McLaren & Hamilton fan here. Now that Spanish prick has departed the Silver Arrows they're gonna rule the world (as long as they don't steal more Ferrari shit)

Love F1. I was a huge fan of Jordan. Best F1 graphics ever. I like Ferrari as far as teams go. Can't stand Alonso, and would really really like to see Taku do well this year.
I'm picking Honda to be a dark horse spoiler a few times this year. But I think BMW is going to be strong.
Ferrari
McLaren
BMW
Renault
HondaNo traction control should make things interesting

Gonna go out on a Limb and Say Ferrari One-Two at Melbourne.. with Kimi ahead of Massa...
- Jonanon0
You mut be joking. It's gonna be a Force India whitewash!
Seriously though, BMW on atleast 1 of the podiums :)
And as for Jordan, who ever didn't like the shark/bee nose cars is a communist. There, I said it!- hell yeah. And the tobacco free livery of "Buzzin' Hornets" was genius. I miss Eddie.flashbender

Glad to see we have some real sports fans here. I was so lucky to be able to go the race in Imola in 2006 and it was an unforgettable experience. Go Ferrari!
- That must have been sweet.. They killed our USGP, so I may have to go aboad this year..nicnichols
- Please say you saw the rolling chicane that was Ide rolling Albers!Jonanon

They have been super strong in testing. They = Ferrari. so I'd tend to agree with you. The car looks like it is really reliable too.

Hamilton on Pole with a really strange 2 front rows
1. Lewis Hamilton, McLaren-Mercedes, 1 minute, 26.714 seconds.
2. Robert Kubica, BMW-Sauber, 1:26.869.
3. Heikki Kovalainen, McLaren-Mercedes, 1:27.079.
4. Felipe Massa, Ferrari, 1:27.178.

How can you call that a strange 2 front rows?! BMW obviously sandbagged thier way through the winter tests, and I for one am very hapy, hopefully it wont be red and sivler taking up all the podiums.

Haven't missed a race since 93. Apart from San Marino 94 when Senna was killed. I was camping in the lake district and rang my dad to get the result. I couldn't believe it when he told me Senna was dead. I stayed up through the night to watch Hill win his championship in 96. Happy days. There have been dull seasons but last years was a cracker. Can't wait for this years. Hoping to persuade the wife to take my boy out tomorrow morning so I can watch the race in peace! Ironically I've never been to a GP (mainly because of living in Jersey so Silverstone's not exactly easy to get to but I hope to go one day. I do a lot of work for HSBC now so I wish Stewart F1 were still around. I might have got a freebie!

I think this season is going to be one of the best in a while.

Agreed, looking forward to this years F1!
