Poor Sutil...
“I can't believe it, it was so close,” said Sutil. “It feels like a pain in my heart. It is like a dream gone to a nightmare - suddenly you are in the car and it looks all fantastic, then you have to accept it is not going to happen. We had a really good strategy and it seemed to work and we were so close to the podium and the points."

After the misery of Canada and France nice job by Lewis.

Digging this thread back up.
Who else watched an absolutely amazing race, only to be absolutely ruined by the stewards? It was some fantastic racing between Hamilton and Raikonnen. Massa absolutely did not deserve to be gifted the win.
- I doubt Massa was that happy to win like this, but he'll take the Points..nicnichols

Bernie, or Max Mosley?

What utter BS! Lewis gave the spot back to Kimi before over taking him again!
- Exactly! Plus it's not like Lewis cut the chicane for an advantage, it was to avoid a collision.Nathan_Adams

Ya.. I am a Ferrari fan, but even I was shocked at the ruling.. and it was raining, and he moved over to avoid being hit, so it wasn't like he was just having a drive in the lawn..
.. pretty odd if you ask me, and even if it was a real infraction, the most they would have given him would be a grid penalty for the next race..

I was shocked at this but when I watched the replay he did lift to let Kimi pass again but he never left his gearbox and still had momentum to pass. So there is some doubt. But the fact that Kimi crashed out made it all moot anyway. So to penalise him and then give Massa (who never once looked like he could win) first position is just ridiculous. And is this the same bunch of stewards who decided Massa didn't make a dangerous pit lane exit in Valencia when he quite clearly did? Looking more and more like a set up isn't it.

I'm nor a McLaren or a Ferrari fan but do any of you recall Suzuka 2005?... Where Alonso cut the final chicane when he went in too hot and took Klien and a lap later let him by. The race stewards got on the radio and told Alonso that he did a pathetic job (when he really didn't) and needed to slow down 4 seconds and let Klien pass back again!
The ruling is outrageous and I thought the exact same thing as nicnichols. (5 spot grid penalty for Monza)
But Lewis did a pathetic job for letting Kimi pass... he had a better run out of the last corner by using the extra tarmac and just bomb dove his car into La Source... Regardless, I think it was an ugly victory but not like that matters now since Massa really won...

- More like Kimi did a pathetic job under breaking into La Source, which was why Hamilton was able to make the next pass.Nathan_Adams
- Shut up. Did Hamilton give back the position? Yes. Did Hamilton give the position with British "fair play"?khan
- Of course not. What's troubling is that the Mclaren driver seems to have decided he could judge for himself what was "fair" or not.khan
- "fair" or not.khan

It's disheartening to see how BMW screws Kubica time after time. They held him up in the pit lane so that Heidfeld would get in front of him.

Great race yesterday at the Spa Grand Prix, Lewis performance was spot on, I was shouting at the TV like a madman with just 2 lap to go, what a race. But no, what do I find out today, McLaren, and Lewis have had there win taken from them because Ferrari and the FIA are corrupt. Sad day for the sport?
- Ferrari didn't lodge a complaint, it was the stewards..nicnichols
- Trust me, it's the same thing.roundabout
- I thought all this Ferrari hate would end after Schu retired.. but I guess not..nicnichols
- It's only the pre-pubescent Hamilton fan base, nic...khan

Maybe a chance of appeal?
http://planet-f1.com/story/0,189…And surprise surprise, the stewards didn't bother to even investigate Raikonnen overtaking Hamilton under waved yellows...
- You mean on lap 2 at the first corner? where Lewis half spun and came to a halt right infront of Kimi? lol...khan
- No, when Rosberg was going slow at the end. Hamilton slowed and swerved to the side to avoid the collision, and Kimi went through while yellows were waved.Nathan_Adams

I don't know who gets more hated on @ QBN.. McCain or Ferrari!
- nicnichols0
So the Stewards have said that the '25 second penalty' was actually a 'drive through penalty' and drive thru's cannot be appealed. Interesting that they found a way to change the results after the race that cannot be appealed..
