Ok before anybody tells me to use the filter, I assure you I already have and I came up with these great apps. But what I want to know is does anybody use any of these apps I have listed and which one would you recommend for a small business of around 8 people.

I am a big fan of basecamp. I got our small company of 6 using it, and about half of them bitch and moan about it, yet can't provide a better solution. I love Billings (market circle) for time tracking and invoicing. I just recently tried Harvest as a trial and I really liked it, and even though it's nice to always have access to your billable hours and timetracking I'd rather not pay a monthly fee for software that really only does one or two things that can be tracked locally on my hard drive.

Use Basecamp for project management, and my app Cashboard for billing/invoicing. :)
We kill all the other weaker apps out there.

Basecamp is great but two caveats:
1: Get the slightly more expensive version with time tracking. It's worth it.
2: You really need to push people to use it. It's very easy to get all excited about it and then watch your staff forget to update or log in, etc...
Otherwise - it's ace.

Basecamp has been working well for me.
I currently use Blinksale for invoicing, but props to subimage for cashboard.

We just got rid of creative manager pro here and are now using Harvest (www.getharvest.com). It also works well with Basecamp which is a plus. ...creative manager pro was too cumbersome.

I was just using the demo for Harvest. I really liked it but there is no calender, which sucks because my boss likes the whole calender thing.

If anybody is interested I've been testing Harvest and I just found this really cool widget that lets the user log hours through it so you dont have to log into harvest via a browser. This is definitely a plus for me.

I started using iBoz last year for hourly tracking. I couldn't justify spending $20-100 a month for something online when iBiz and several others werea 1 time fee. The thing I like about iBiz is it has a monitor I can run all day. Then at the end of the day I just pop it open and drag the hours from the app to the project. So if I was working in Photoshop for 4.5 hours I drag it right over to the mocks section of XYZ client.
As for project management.. I haven't found anything yet I want to invest in. I'm in the same boat as you. Basecamp is great for conversation and file archiving but nothing more. I have a client that likes to use it for bug tracking... TERRIBLE SOLUTION. Don't use Basecamp for anything beyond conversation archiving.

has anyone used http://previewstreamline.com/au/… ?? I've been thinking about investing in it for a while now.. it's about $4k outright – looks like it might be worth it though.
