My only problem is the constant spamming. And the only responsible of that in here and cpluv, its the same guy. Anything else I can care less about. If you pollute my visual space I will develop a negative reaction to whatever is that you are doing, good or bad.
I see it like this: spamming is a guy with a megaphone yelling at people on the street to buy something, pedestrians walk by him and cover their ears in pain, wishing he would stop doing yelling at them. There are 3 choices you can take.
a) You walk into the store and buy what he is yelling you to buy.
b) You go across the street and you ignore it.
c) You tell him to quit yelling at you, if the product interests you, you will consume it when you think its appropriate.
d) You flip him off.3 of 4 are negative reactions. Am I missing one?
No one likes a spammer.

e) Have your, possibly negative point of view of the organisation PAYING him to yell into that megaphone, reinforced.

"I think you guys misperceive the kdu."
That's the KDU's problem"The kdu simply allows just about anyone with a passion for going crazy the opportunity to try and discover themselves as designers"
That's not true at all. It's exclusive. And besides that point, even if they are letting people "discover themselves", the work is still soulless safe, given the lack of boundaries the KDU has. IF they don't want to be associated with the pessimism at a site like this, maybe the great leader should slap a little PR skills into their members instead of letting them bandy about the name the way they do. If you represent, prepare for a reaction.

You're just jealous of theKDU.

The biggest issue I see with theKDU is, beyond the hype, rhetoric, and shameless pretentious writings therein....is the fact that, as an indivudal designer, your work and your client list is automatically associated and shared as credit among all other designers.
If I was a young designer, or a designer with some real talent, I'd stay far, far away from an "organization" that attempts to list a client I've landed as belonging to 200 other members. Your work, your name, and your accomplishments are being diluted.

what ever happened to that young wakeboarding zoolander designboy anyway?

Derek is slamming redbulls while he takes fisheye photos of his macbook and putting a MediaTemple (tm) logo ontop of it all.

ok can we let this thread just die...

I agree this is ugly. Seriously let's leave KDU alone. Whatever their intentions are, but at the same time... I don't think it's fair to attack a forum with shameless self promotion. People don't like what you do than fine, personally I think some of KDU's stuff is gorgeaous. But I wish the elitism wasn't coming through in your work and in this rant you provided us "Son". Good luck in your future endeavours but I'd let this just drop.

"This thread begs the question - which former/current member/lurker is killerqueen?"
I don't know the answer to that, but... I do know who the person is who comes on here posting as KillerQueen. Don't ask me to be indiscreet though, I wont.

Really curious what I was doing in early Feb 2008 because I completely missed all of this.
