so, i was thinking of going to argentina the beginning of march for 2 weeks (actually it will be 'we' and it will be for our honeymoon =)...neither of us have been there before and we're looking for some insight.
we would probably fly into buenos aires (eze) but that is as far as we have got. i would really like to explore a large chunk of it rather than just staying in one place. i'm looking for urban/city/nature explorations, whereas she is looking for sun and beach. so a combo of both would be good
any suggestions of places to go, places to stay, ways of getting around (plane, car, public transport etc) would be very helpful!

hey lvl_13
I can give you a few tips if you want. I was born in buenos aires. If you want beach, most tourist go to mar del plata. I recommend Pinamar, is a lot smaller, but is really nice, the hottest girls you will ever see on bikini are just walkind around that beach.

Its a few hours from buenos aires (center) probably under 5 hs.
The club scene is really good there, remember people eat dinner around 10pm, they hang at people's houses till 2 am, and they start arriving at the club around 3 am, most of them are open till 8 / 9 am. http://flickr.com/search/?w=all&… (when its time for breakfast!)
For nature stuff there is really a lot, depends on how far you want to go, you have glaciars in the south: http://flickr.com/search/?w=all&…
Waterfalls in north east:

bump!
new question. ticket prices: what should i expect as far as flight costs? it seems that around $1100/per person is pretty standard.
anyone got anything better for flight tickets? $1100 seems to be pretty expensive considering it costs that much to fly to tokyo...

Hey, I'm from BsAS as well,
make sure you go down to the south of Argentina.... San Martin, Villa Langostura...Shame that you are going in March, because Punta del Este(Uruguay), is a really good place to go in Dec/Jan.

thanks for the tips clearthoughts.

i dont know... can you get a flight to miami and transfer to LAN Argentina?
- lvl_130
not sure calles. all the tickets i have found either transfer in chi-town or austin texas (i think)...
$1100 seems kind of steep, but maybe not. my ticket to amsterdam was only $600...
